The pool was disgusting. After I got in and was swimming, I noticed that there was a ring of black scum, 2 inches tall at the top of the water all the way around the pool.

The breakfast is not available on Monday's or Tuesday's. What, nobody eats breakfast on those days? Also, it's a pay for breakfast situation. Nothing complimentary here. For the price of breakfast, you'd think the quality would be much better.

There is laundry on site but only one washer and one dryer. It's a pretty big hotel to only have one of each.

The rooms were just okay. Sort of cheaply done. The beds were again just okay. I wouldn't go here again if I had a choice.

The food in the restaurant was the best thing about the place. If you like port chops, I'd suggest getting that over the steak. The wings were good as well.

Aimee at the front desk was my first point of contact. I called a day before checkin requesting early arrival (before 3pm). She was pleasant and said she could accomodate my 12noon arrival. ||Room was ready and so was our 2 night getaway. Beautiful lobby with bar and restaurant. Our corner king room was spacious with lounge chair and working desk. Plenty of light was a wonderful surprise with two large windows. ||Gym was a tad dated. We tried the treadmill, but couldn't figure out how to make it work. We did use the weighs to get some stretching in. I planned on using the pool, but it was a bit crowded. ||Overall we would stay again. Off the beaten path, but plenty of places to eat within a short drive. Our favorite was Patty's Panty, a two minute drive - execellent food for breakfast/lunch/dinner.

Our stay was delightful, price was fair, staff were very friendly and accommodating! The hotel was very well kept, room was very clean and great tv! Paul the waiter was awesome, he went out of his way to be certain our pastrami sandwich was crispy, it was cooked to perfection!

We stayed here in an emergency. Our power went out. The hotel was lovely. The staff was very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Even my dang seemed to enjoy her stay. It is hard to find a pet friendly hotel and this one was just perfect. Well done, Wyndham staff!

It's a good hotel but what makes it great is the receptionist. He is very friendly and helpful and I am very happy to meet someone like him. For the price it is suitable and the room is big and they have many features like free parking, swimming pool, wifi and more. It is true that there is some moldy smell outside the door of room 126 but inside the room is good. It would be great if the receptionists deal with this level of class. Note: You should change the pillows, as they are hard and uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful stay with our four teenagers. We loved the adjoining rooms! Excellent service overall. Swimming pool was warm and clean, plenty of actual large size towels. Restaurant food was delicious - the appetizers are extra large portions for sharing. Desserts were worth it! Restaurant service was also very attentive and welcoming. Rooms are clean and spacious enough, comfortable beds, pillows soft and squishy, elevators fairly quick, parking lot is well lighted. We have the option to pay a little more and stay til 2 (even til 4), if we want more swimming time. We may come again just for fun or a study night, we liked it so much.

Wyndham is a nice hotel. It has spacious rooms, a pool, a laundry room, and a bar and lounge. The menu is decent and prices are a bit pricey but the food is good. My family of 3 spent 56$ for us to eat there.
The beds are comfortable. My only gripe was the dripping faucet in the bathroom, and my TV kept crapping out. But they keep the hotel very clean. The front desk staff are also friendly.
I also traveled with 2 cats and paid 175 for the 17 days we stayed there. The cleaning staff was very considerate of them. I bought a cat condo prior to travel and put them in when I knew staff would clean the room.

The heat in my house stopped working, so I needed to check in to a hotel for the night. Wyndham in Southbury was fine. Room was clean and bed was comfortable including a nice comforter and fluffy pillows. If you’re looking for a basic place to stay, Wyndham is a good option.
