We love this hotel. We always stay here when we’re in the Toledo area visiting our son and his family. The rooms are spacious and very well kept. Comfortable beds, clean linens and towels, good lighting and seating. Furniture is very accommodating for unpacking. Prices are quite reasonable and bathrooms are clean and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My husband and I, along with my parents, stayed here 2 weeks ago. We stayed 2 nights. Upon check-in, Elaine was very friendly, professional and helpful while getting us into our rooms with ease. Our rooms were nice and clean, and the complimentary breakfast buffet was good and well-stocked. We will definitely stay here next time we travel to Toledo. I highly recommend!

I don't understand how your staff can gossip so loudly about their inappropriate personal lives or be so rude to kids who are literally just walking. It always smells like piss in the building. I watched your staff use the same roller stick in the bathroom and then in the lobby. That is most likely a good reason as to why. Maybe that's why. Gross. They placed toilet cleaning supplies right by the food on a waiting table. That's sooo gross. Please step it up.

Recommended this hotel for a family member visiting from California this weekend. Very disappointed with what he encountered with the very strong smoking smell in his room and the refusal of the staff to honor his request to change rooms. The hotel was not full. This is very unfortunate because it is a great location for our out of town guests but we will never recommend it again. As someone else commented, it looks great from the outside but the inside is a whole different story.

Positive: Friendly staff that went out of their way to assist when needed. Negative: I was in the 'wheelchair' access room. Lovely room, bathroom was Very Accessible NOT the bed, it was too far off the ground for a nice transfer from wheelchair to bed. Even with a transfer board it was an steep upward climb into the bed.

Everything was wonderful, The rooms are very nice and the beds are extremely comfortable. I only gave 3 stars for service because the lady that checked me in was not that pleasant. I will definitely stay again.

We were visiting family in Sylvania, so the location was perfect for us.

The hotel is adequate but it's in need of a renovation, in my opinion. It's not bad, but looking a little tired. After this, we went to a new Holiday Inn Express in another city, It was newer, and noticeably nicer, and a little cheaper. It made me realize how much this Wingate needed some freshening up.

Having said that, there is nothing really wrong with this Wingate. It is safe, comfortable and adequate. And the staff here is wonderful!

A very nice mid-level hotel property, situated in downtown Sylvania. The location is convenient to anything you might want to get to in Sylvania, Toledo, or the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The staff is friendly and helpful. A hot breakfast is included. They even have a nice little fitness center.

The only reason I didn't give five stars is they don't have a guest laundry.

Still a very nice place to stay for the price in northern Ohio.
