A lovely, historic hotel built in the 1890s in the heart of downtown Americus. It has a restaurant and a pub on the second floor and a couple of cafes on the first floor. The rooms are.comfortable with modern amenities. The grand lobby, dining room, and historic decor really make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Even though you don't have to leave the building to find something to eat, there are other restaurants within easy walking distance. I truly enjoyed my stay at The Windsor!

We stayed here 3 nights for a long weekend getaway and really enjoyed our experience! The hotel itself is lovely and you truly step back in time entering the lobby. The hotel is conveniently located in town and walkable to many great shops and restaurants. Street parking is available and the several entrances in the lobby made it easy to enter the hotel.

We are ate at Rosemary and Thyme for breakfast and went to Floyd’s pub for dinner one night. Both were delicious and reasonably priced.

The room itself was nice and had everything we needed. The massive closet was a bonus to tuck away suitcases and extra purchases. We did have an issue getting the room to cool down on our last night, it was a little stuffy without the air running. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

We would love to come back again during a different season and see more than Americus and the surrounding areas have to offer.

This is a really beautiful hotel!! Like…. Shockingly beautiful. I came here on a business trip and found it after searching for “unique” hotels. Staff are super sweet! It *is* a super old hotel, so there are scuffs and whatnot on the baseboards in the rooms and some mold in the shower sealant, but meh. Sleeping in the room had the surreal feeling of sleeping at my grandmother’s house from the 1800s 😭😭 I had a good time though!! My only real complaint is the fact that there’s a handful of expired chip bags in the convenience store in the lobby but tbh that kinda just adds to the vibe

Loved our visit at the Windsor Hotel, such a neat eclectic old hotel. So many neat things to see and Floyd who runs the breakfast at Rosemary and Thyme is absolutely the best. He was so polite and personal and took his time answering our questions regarding the history of the building. Look forward to our next stay at The Windsor.

What a great historic property. You need to score street parking, which we did with no problem. If Americus is where you want to be, this hotel is right in the middle of it. Checkin was easy and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Everything clean and obviously old, if not historic. Room 207 was very clean and updated. Bed was in good shape and linens were very nice as well. Separate, real bathroom. Real closet. Internet was 18Mbps up and down, and fairly reliable, only bogging down a bit around 8pm. The hotel was not very full and we didn’t hear anyone else in the building the whole time we were there. Fantastic value. Would return if we ever have the chance to.

Literally put in room 227 above the BAR that is open until 12:30 am!!! The floor and bed was shaking from the bass…. Like why would you even put people in this room. It is unbelievable. We tried to switch rooms but there is nothing they could do. Terrible experience. This place should be ashamed of allowing a bar or people to stay above it.

This is a really neat historical place to visit. The character of the building is so cool and it is wonderfully decorated. This hotel has a lot of very interesting history. Ask about the Al Capone room! The hotel is beautifully decorated right now for the holidays and makes for a lovely holiday photo backdrop. The balcony has a nice view of the town.

Positive: Nice old hotel that has been keeped up to date. I would recommend this hotel just for the experiance. Negative: For the price they could have offered free breakfast.Didn't have coffee in the loby
