This location has a service to help homeless people get a path to their own homes or apartments. They have helped my friend & her 2 dogs getb3 months shelter. She has a large 1 bedroom with a balcony & can cook her food there too. I am so happy they helped my friend get thru the summer heat. 🧡💛💙💚

This place is a homeless shelter, if you are interested you will have to get in contact with a park ranger or on duty for a referral to CBI. When accepted you will be in a "dusk to dawn" program, which entails a minimum 2 week stay in a male room= 15 people to 1 room Female room = 4. After your 2 weeks depending on many factors you may get your own room with tv/fridge/microwave for an additional 3 months.
On to the actual review, thank you CBI for giving me a chance to turn my life around. They can help you as well but the place is what you make it. If you are messing around and not helping yourself they won't even bother you and let you do your thing. If you are ready to turn your life around, there's many resources that can help you get your own place, that includes actual funding to help you move into one.
One final note: If you are homeless and cannot make it into here there are other options. Apply on the A New Leaf website and they will contact you shortly with placement when available. TLC (For men, southern location) will take you in immediately on a promise to pay (no money needed) East Valley Addiction Recovery Center (EVARC) will also take you in immediately.

I can’t say enough good things about the CBI Windermere Off the Streets Homeless Program. My experience with them has been nothing short of life-changing. From the moment I reached out, they were there with open arms, ready to listen, help, and offer real solutions. Being in a situation where you don’t have a home is incredibly stressful, both physically and emotionally. It's easy to feel lost or like you’re falling through the cracks, but this program showed me that I wasn’t alone and that there was hope.

The staff at CBI Windermere is nothing short of amazing. They’re not just going through the motions – they genuinely care about the people they help. Whether it’s through providing immediate shelter, offering food and clothing, or just taking the time to listen to your story, they’re there for you every step of the way. What really stood out to me is the way they treat everyone with dignity and respect. It didn’t matter what my situation was, they never made me feel less than or judged.

Beyond the basic necessities, this program really focuses on helping you rebuild your life. They offer resources to help you find work, get the documentation you need, and even provide guidance on how to move toward permanent housing. It’s not just about getting you off the streets for the night; they truly want to see you succeed in the long run. They provided me with the tools I needed to regain control of my situation and my future, which was incredibly empowering.

I also appreciate how organized and well-run the program is. Every time I had a question or needed support, they were quick to respond and offer solutions. You can tell they take what they do seriously, and they’re committed to making a real difference in the community.

If anyone is struggling with homelessness or knows someone who is, I can’t recommend CBI Windermere enough. This program isn’t just about offering a helping hand; it’s about changing lives and giving people the second chance they deserve. I’m forever grateful to them for their support and for helping me get back on my feet. Thank you, CBI Windermere, for all you do!

Minus 2 stars. If we were not utterly heat exhausted we would have found another hotel just 3 miles away with a pool, breakfast and ⅓ the cost of what they charged us here.

Couldn't enter the lobby, although you saw people sitting inside. We looked at the photos, didn't seem like a bad place. Had a nice pool, complementary breakfast and a kitchenette. WRONG, except for the kitchenette. Checking in, a hot, stuffy room no bigger than a small walk-in closet. After spending 5 hours in the heat, 113 we just wanted to cool down. We are both in power wheelchairs, at the time we thought we were getting a wheelchair accessible room. Could not fit through the front door, not wide enough and we don't have a ramp, there's a back door and it slides. Need a ramp too. My brother in law broke our TV tray and some how we got into the room. We should have left right then, but my wife was throwing up. We just need to cool down and tomorrow we'll leave. She was worse. First 2 nights she slept ½ on the bed and ½ on her wheelchair. I think she had heat stroke but she didn't want to go to the ER, because she would have had to take the bus and be in the heat again.

There is an invasion of small black beetles. I do not know what they will do to our stuff that is on the floor but we cannot leave our dog's food or water dishes down.

Windemere was a fantastic surprise. The suites in the very back are amazing! Huge rooms with a back patio and a kitchen! Fridge, stove, sink and microwave, a walk in closet, vanity sink with a huge mirror, the bathroom with the vanity sink and another huge mirror and the shower was great. Plenty of room for 2. Yes 3 sinks! Very clean. The white vanities with white glitter granite counter tops sparkle clean beauty. The giant sliding glass door to the patio is floor to ceiling windows. It's fabulous. And I was able to bring my dogs. They had so much room to bounce and play. Felt like I was in a house not a hotel. Price was great too.||The hotel is set up so different then any hotel I've ever been to. Trust me you will enjoy your stay there. I did. I had to stay at windemere again to rent one of the jacuzzi tub suites. It was also a great price. The jacuzzi tub suite was in a different section of the hotel. This section was set as a traditional hotel. This room was nice. It was decent size, larger then most. The tub was large enough for 2, 3 or maybe 4. The water was hot, the jets worked great. The tub was better then I had expected. It was so great. I was very happy I rented it for 2 days. If I didn't have to eat and sleep I would've stayed in the jacuzzi tub the entire stay. It was peaceful. It was relaxing. And it was quiet. We pushed the 2 queen beds together and had 1 huge bed for us and the dogs. They loved it!! ||I love this hotel. I believe everyone who stays at the windemere will enjoy there stay.

Bed bugs, and roaches. Had to leave all my belongings and start over. They do have a hot box there to rid your clothes of them but that is embarrassing. Other than that rooms are big and they have a balcony upstairs which was nice, with a little fridge. Pricing is pretty decent. Good luck. FYI bed bugs were red and microscopic. Getting bit sucked.

Nothing bad to say here since I have not been to this location in 25 years and then it was for driving school. If it is indeed a grotto or safe space for the homeless, how does one gain access to this resource?

it's a nice place but very old it does tend to attract some of the drug culture but the hotel usually puts them around back so the public doesn't have to see them . other then that it's nice place .. there is usually a mess cop car in the parking lot 24/7bwhy I don't know but it is active duty officer .
