Update 9-6-24

This is our second visit to Wild Berry Diner. This time we invited a couple with whom we're good friends with and they thoroughly enjoyed their breakfasts as did we.

Met Christina the owner This morning as she greeted and seated us in Christina's (our favorite server) area.

Today, I tried the Turkey Club w/ fries and was not disappointed! Outstanding meal!

My lady has been after me for a while to give Wild Berry Diner a try, and so, early this morning, we made our first visit.

Christina (not the owner) our friendly sever greeted and seated us at a table.

My wife and I had Bacon,sausage patties, eggs over medium, potato's, toast and a biscuit and coffee.

Our food arrived hot and fresh in less than 5 minutes! Our meals were delicious overall. One small nitpick was that the sausage patties were a bit too salty.

Christina our sever was so nice and friendly to us and really made our first visit very pleasant.

Would we come back again? Great food and service combined with reasonable prices; Absolutely we'll return!

7/18/24 - I cannot say it was a pleasant enough experience for us to take the drive again from So. Phoenix. I knew how far away it was, but had been here before years ago and remember it being very good. Not so this second visit; maybe they have new owners/cooks. I will say that for the price, the portions are very large. Plus it has a cozy country feel to it. But we will not return for a third visit.

Longer version: I specifically remember their cinnamon rolls were spectacular. This time, however, it was more dense than I remember, as well as a bit flat -- plus we were finished with our meals before it was ever delivered to our table. We kept trying to catch our server's attention but were unable to do so until we had already packed our meals away in the take-home boxes we brought . I guess when she saw the empty table she figured it was time to return to our table -- at which time we asked about the cinnamon roll. It was not overly crowded but there also did not seem to be too many wait staff in attendance.

The biscuits looked like they came from a tube, and were a bit too dry for my tastes. I ordered the Hawaiian omelet and it was a bit lacking in flavor. Maybe I am simply used to Hawaiian pizzas (ha ha!) but I think the omelet needed a bit more flavor to it.

We went there after reading the reviews. When we arrived there was no line. We stood there for maybe 6 or 7 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally, got seated. No server showed up for 15 minutes. A server, taking care of two ladies next to us, never bothered to ask/say be with you, etc etc. We got up from our table and departed. So, we have no idea what the food tastes like. And, we are people who like to acknowledge the hard working people.

First timer this past week. Everything from the ambiance to the timeliness of the food prep was amazing! The staff were welcoming and even though it was busy, they got us in fairly quickly! We ordered a breakfast burrito and traditional ham/cheese omelette and they were delicious and plenty of food for the price. I was surprised at how affordable the breakfast menu was so please take some time and drop by this “hole-in-a-wall” restaurant that appears to be an open secret!

The moment you walk in, you are greeted, and fluidity is awesome, and I just love the warm country feel atmosphere. Service is quick, portion size is excellent, pricing is good, and for me I love their coffee and lattes are right on. Please these guys are trying to. Their hours are M-F 0800-1400.

I had high expectations for the Wild Berry Diner, but it was a very average dining experience. The food was okay. The service was okay. The decor was bland. For whatever reason, the restaurant seemed to be quite popular with older customers. It felt very similar to a Village Inn or IHOP. Not a bad experience, but nothing to go out of your way for.

We always like to enjoy a new place for breakfast. And yes, if you're a local. Then you already know about this place and the food. Not to mention the service as well. This is definitely a place to eat, relax, and enjoy some amazing food. My recommendation is definitely the biscuits and gravy. Don't be fooled by the size. This will fill up the most hungry appetite. Even the biscuits are the size of a softball. And they are delicious. Yes. Made in the restaurant. Overall, the food is top-notch along with the staff. It's worth the drive. It's worth the money.
