In recent summers, friends and family have rented out this entire cottage with good intentions. It really is a kind of resort that one would call "almost" relaxing.

All of the cabins have their odds and ends (it is an old resort) but each one is beautifully kept updated. My only concerns are the smoke detectors (can be nuisance during kitchen cooking) and the older television sets (channels missing on ours). Everything else inside each cabin is decent; there is air conditioning, free wi-fi, and more.

The owners and maintenance workers of Whispering Winds are friendly and hard-working. They even have a gift shop inside the main office where goods can be purchased.

20 years of coming to tawas and oscoda ive never stayed at a less organized dirty place i was itching for 3 days after leaving the beds where horrible the kitchen equipment and accessories disgusting and to top it all off the worst beach area in tawas
