I've been wanting to check this place out for over 2 years now, and I finally got to do it today. I went there for breakfast, but since it was around noon, I wanted to do a brunch kind of thing. They still had their breakfast menu, along with the lunch menu. I got the two pancakes with ham, and a coffee. The very nice lady that served me was so kind, and she was also the chef, so she made the food with great care. We were talking for a little bit, and she said that before she retired and came back, she had worked there for 45 years. Talk about hard work and dedication. Overall, I really enjoyed my first time here. I loved the food, and this restaurant really felt like I was living in the 40s and 50s. It opened in 1940, so it still kept up that vintage style after 85 years. I will definitely be back. 🙂

We went there for breakfast a few times and it was very good. The last 2 times we went it was horrible. My daughter’s omelette was raw and runny both times. The waitress took it back to have it remade, and they brought out a new one - not what was ordered and also raw and runny. I don’t know what changed, but it’s sad that the food is not what it once was. The bickering between the waitresses created a very negative atmosphere as well. So sad. We thought we finally found our spot

This is a very cute vintage, family style diner that serves breakfast all day. They opened in 1940! The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The service is incredibly friendly and polite. The restaurant is clean and the food is good. We enjoyed our visit.

I really like Whip Coffee Shop. It may not have fancy coffee, but it has that home town feel. The food is classic and basic but delicious. It is great to see a wonderful family owned restaurant. Which reminds me of my hometown when it is so far way. Thank you for all the great food.

Great prices, great food, great service. Hands down the best regular grits around. They are not the instant grits that you find at a lot of places, these remain the same consistency even if you don't eat them till the end of your breakfast. They don't turn into one big sticky lump.

This little diner is a gem!
Super charming and nostalgic. Our server Glennia was fabulous! She served and cooked the food. She made my eggs a perfect over-medium. The food was great and so was the price! Quick too!
You can’t get great food and service for a price like this at some fast food joint.🙏

I have been coming here since I was a little girl. Every Sunday after mass, we would have breakfast at the Whip. The specials are always affordable, the coffee is always hot, and the lovely ladies who work there are always smiling and offering their latest and best service. I remember Linda, and Stella still as amazing as ever. And the breakfast IS AMAZING. Thank you for keeping my inner child and adult self smiling and fed. Please don't ever change.

Horrible decline. My family frequently were customers years ago. We decided to come back today. Mistake. We have been seated 40+ minutes. Still NO food. 1 cook (70yrs+) and 1 waitress (80+).

They ask you what you want to eat and drink before they even seat you or five you menus.
They are out of everything on the menu. They don't tell you they don't have what you ordered until 30mins after you place your order.

The tables and chairs are all broken and damaged. Tabletops covered in vinyl. Not too clean. Not very hygienic in kitchen or with service.

They should close the doors.
