This hotel is definitely a 2-star hotel. The rooms are clean, and the beds and pillows are comfortable enough. The floors/carpets were kinda dirty and could use a shampoo/cleaning, but I always tavel with slippers or flip flops. It's summer, so there's lots of bugs and flies outside that get inside the room quickly. We were mostly disappointed in the pool being disgustingly dirty. It's was green and coated with algae, and the front desk clerk still said we could swim in it because he just poured chemicals in it. There's no way we would have swam in that pool with the way it looked. They need a pool vacuum asap. I would have given this hotel 3 stars if the pool was functional. Housekeeping didn't come clean our room one of the days we were there. We had to ask for more towels and for room service the days we did get it.

Booked room 28 today. $94. OK, About like any other motel. We've stayed at the Weiss Lake Lodge before, a few years ago.It wasn't too bad. Well, today, first I barely was able to get the door key to turn the lock. Well I'm an older lady. Maybe I'm just not that strong. Ok, so we go in and change to go to the pool. I couldn't get the door to lock. Left the door unlocked to go to the pool right..well, my daughter and I go to the pool. The water is filthy. The bottom of the pool was broken and jaged. There was paper and debris all over it, then I noticed that it wasn't circulating, not filtering. The steps were slimy. I told my daughter Not to get in. No telling what is floating in it. So we go back to the room to shower and discover that the toilet had not even been cleaned. The beds need to be replaced. Horrible mattresses!! And I still cannot get the deadbolt to lock even from the inside . We didn't even stay the night. Didn't feel safe. Disgusting. We will never be back there!

This is such a gem!! Affordable, well managed and felt like home away from home. The service was top tier, you'd swear it was an Alabama Hilton! The hot water lasts for days and the pool was such a refreshment I nearly couldn't leave. The parking area is immaculate and unlike most places, there's no shady people lurking in the parking lot. Definitely plan to come out here year after year.

I stayed in the crappie cabin. $45/night.
This is not a fancy place. The bed was good, the pool felt amazing after a long day riding. Staff was excellent, set me up with ice and advice for the road.
If y'all are looking for a cheap place to crash for the night, call the boys at Weiss lake!

I stayed at Weiss Lake Lodge on Friday, June 7, 2024, in room 4. I was extremely disappointed! The light over the vanity had no bulb in the light fixture and wires were sticking out of the fixture. The ceiling light in the same area did not work. To top it all off, a mini fridge was in the bathtub and the bathtub itself was filthy.

I was not expecting the room to be comparable to a Hilton or Hyatt, but I did expect the lights to work and that the bathroom would be clean without a mini-fridge in the bathtub.

The host is very friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and cool and well set up. The price is very reasonable. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We checked in and went to our room, looked around the inside and found a uncapped needle laying beside the toilet.we got the lady ,showed it to her,she said it was just cleaned a few mins ago..the house cleaner was hanging around the corner watching.look like she was dirty..true story.the owner knows ,she can't deny it
.never again stay in that dump.

To make a long story short, my husband and I stayed at the motel in early June. We enjoyed the room and the pool, it still needed some things done to it to be completely ready. We reserved a room for the week of July 1-8. We were told the pool would be ready by then. We paid up front for the reservation but when we checked in, we could not use the pool at all, it was GREEN. The manager's son said a pool guy had said the pool was beyond fixing for the year. There's No Refunds so we stayed for the week. We had a good time as far as eating out and spending quality time together and we did see the fireworks but we're disappointed about not being able to use the pool. The manager's son (on the evening before we left) started trying to do something to the pool but when we left, it was still green. We were not the only ones that had spent expensive money for a room expecting to be able to get in the pool. The other guests left but we had paid over $600 for a week and since there was no refunds, we endured. IF we could have got the money back, we would have. It was such a disappointment. As for the room, it was clean ( the ladies always asked if we needed anything when they were cleaning the other rooms). However, there was a big bug that was dead in the floor when we checked in. I don't like the shower because the tub is very narrow and there's not much water pressure. There was no ice in the machine when we went to fill the bucket. On the 1st visit, I would have given Weiss Lake Lodge a 5 star rating but now, it's hard to give them a 3 star rating.
