This BnB is gem! My sister and I were looking for a comfortable and quiet getaway where we could relax and read, and The Wedgeway made our plan a reality! The owners have poured love and attention not just into the home but also into the guest amenities. Coming and going is a breeze with card keys like you’d have at a hotel, but the room felt so much more homey (not to mention clean) than a hotel has ever. The little kitchenette off the main entrance had a fridge for our dinner leftovers and we made ourselves tea and hot chocolate to enjoy while we read downstairs in some of their big comfy chairs. We slept like rocks and then got to enjoy breakfast (best granola ever). Our only regret is not staying two nights. Can’t wait to come back to experience it in nice weather and stay in a different room!

My girlfriend (now fiance shortly thereafter staying at Wedgeway) and I booked an overnight stay on our first night in Connecticut.

This was my first trip to the East Coast, and after flying into Bradley, driving to Wedgeway, and spending a night there...I'm in love with it.

Amazing owners who are knowledgeable, kind, and so willing to indulge history nerds in the nuances of the home...I was (and still am) over the moon with that first night in CT. Magical sounds hyperbolic, but I know not else how to describe it on an otherwise stressful day of travel.

And it was one of the best night's of sleep I've ever had in my life. Can't speak for the other rooms, but the bed in the Mabel room continues to haunt my desire for quality sleep now that I'm back at home.

A lovely place lovingly restored, maintained, and run by two very lovely people.

Thank you both. You made the beginning of a memorable trip so, so, so worthwhile. 🙂 <3

We stopped here for one night on our way up to Maine and I wished we could have stayed longer. Such a special place with a lot of history. The owners were so lovely, and their breakfast service is AMAZING. Loved our room as well. I would definitely recommend.

Grace and Rob are incredible hosts. Gorgeous mansion filled with history and comfort. Clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated rooms. Delicious homemade breakfast. Fantastic location surrounded by the pristine grounds and colorful gardens. Highly recommend!

My friends and I stayed there for a girls weekend getaway and it was amazing! Grace and Rob go above and beyond to make you comfortable and are really knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the building and the Manchester area. We were there two nights and the breakfast was amazing both mornings. Our favorite was their apple yogurt with a delicious homemade granola (which I wished they packaged and sold so I could take some home!!) Definitely highly recommend!!!

Most lovely stay! This was my husband's first stay at a B and B and it was definitely the one to start with. Quiet, peaceful and run by a wonderful couple, we will return again. Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed socializing with other lodgers. We only spent one night but hope to return so that we can learn more about the property and enjoy visiting the area we both were born in.

This was our second year staying at the Wedgeway Bed & Breakfast, and it was a jarring reminder that this place should be much more popular. My wife and I loved it last year--the history, the hosts, the themed bedrooms, the delicious breakfasts, all of the amenities that made us feel like royalty--and we knew then we'd be coming back. When we arrived, it appeared we'd have the place to ourselves, and my first thought was, "Hooray!" But my reaction was wrong, because they should be booked solid every day. At least, until they want to go on vacation.

There's a scattering of hotels around Manchester and Glastonbury, there's a lot of business-friendly options over in Hartford, where you'll have your bed and you'll have your closet, and maybe you'll have a vending machine or a little pantry or even an attached restaurant, and people may ask about your trip, and you'll say, "Yeah, it was fine."

But if you want a place where your stay is more exciting than your trip, you have to go to the Wedgeway. Grace and Rob care about this building, they care about this town, they care about the history, and they really, really care about your satisfaction. No, that's not enough: they care about your stupid grinning joy when you check out, saying, "We need to come back." For two years running, that has been the reaction for my wife and me. And we are going back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this historic B&B - Wedgeway! The house has a warm and inviting front lawn with huge oak trees leading you to the house. The owners, Rob and Grace, are deeply passionate about the history of the house and the area. You can find writings and photos of the past around the house, and the hosts are very happy to share their knowledge with guests.

Rob and Grace are also incredibly kind and attentive. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The breakfast was delicious, the homemade granola was very tasty.

Wedgway B&B is conveniently located near Hartford.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Wedgeway. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and charming place to stay in the Hartford area.
