Water’s Edge Retreat - Kelleys Island, Ohio

This was our second stay at the beautiful Water’s Edge Retreat, and this time we brought my sister and her husband. Rick and Tricia are wonderful hosts! From the minute we arrived, we were made to feel welcomed and comfortable. They gave us great information about the island - from restaurant recommendations to hiking trails and scenic areas to explore. The breakfasts and extra evening and morning treats are amazing - we loved enjoying our breakfast on the front porch with a great view of the lake. Our rooms were very comfortable with lake views from almost every window - loved having the windows open and listening to the waves each night!|We are looking forward to our next stay!

Tricia and Rick were so helpful and hospitable. It was the perfect weekend retreat to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Rick had great recommendations of things to do and places to eat, and Tricia is an amazing cook. We enjoyed her homemade baked treats and the apple butter souvenir for our anniversary. They were able to accommodate my dairy allergy with their delicious breakfast. Can’t beat their breakfast with a view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable. Our room and bathroom were very clean. We can’t wait to come back. Lastly, we had a serious family emergency that required us to leave the island very quickly. Tricia was so accommodating and helped us to get on the ferry in no time. We are beyond grateful. They really care about their guests.

This was our first time visiting Kelleys Island for my husband and I. Water's Edge was the perfect place for us to stay to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The hosts Rick and Tricia are very friendly and provide wonderful tips for enjoying the Island. Upon our arrival, Rick provided us a map and marked points of interest. Tricia makes everything from scratch. The breakfasts are amazing! They even have apple butter from their own apple trees. It is fun to come back in the evenings to find fresh baked items waiting for you. |We stayed in the Queen Anne room and had a beautiful view of the lake. It was quiet and comfy. Pillows and towels were soft and nice. |Lovely birds to watch on the patio and beautiful plants. Even saw my first Baltimore Oriole on their porch. |Tricia gave us a lovely happy anniversary card the morning we checked out. So sweet.|We recommend this quaint B&B. Clean and great hosts!!

The Water's Edge Retreat is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Kelley's Island. From the moment we arrived, Rick and Tricia made us feel welcome. Our room was beautiful - spacious, clean and very comfortable. The evening baked treat along with our wonderful breakfast on the large front porch were perfect. I highly recommend this B and B - we've already booked a return stay for two nights in September.

We had an excellent three-day stay at The Edgewater B&B on Kelly's Island, owned and operated by Rick and Tricia. Having a delicious breakfast on their front porch looking at a beautiful landscaped yard and a well nourished apple trees and herbs, along with the backdrop of Lake Erie. The views and atmosphere are stunning and breathtaking.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Water's Edge. The home and our room were stately and comfortable. Breakfast and evening snack were delicious, and Rick was forthcoming with recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The bikes, golf cart and kayak available onsite were very convenient. The perfect KI getaway.

Hubby and I spent a couple of nights at Waters Edge. Our room and bathroom were spotless. Bed was pretty comfortable as were the pillows. We had 2 windows facing the lake which was lovely. We had a nice breeze each evening and could hear the waves lapping the shore. We also had a window in the bathroom that was kept open. The shower was really nice. We brought our own soap, shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious each morning. The sitting room was nice and books were available to read if you wanted to do. We liked sitting on the porch and listening to the many birds that frequent the property. The price is higher than we have paid for a room at a B&B before but probably pretty normal for the island. I would highly recommend the B&B.

Rick and Trisha are the consummate hosts. Ever detail accounted for, every wish anticipated. A lovely retreat from the buzz of modern life. The home and grounds are meticulous and, quite frankly, gorgeous. Plus Trisha is a phenomenal cook!
