I kayaked with War Eagle at least 4 times this summer. With friends and with my girlfriend and dog. It’s generally been a good experience and we like coming here. The campgrounds are pricey, but they’re decently manicured and right by the water. The bathhouse is kept clean. Only real complaint is the last couple times we’ve gone the blonde lady at the front desk has had a rude undertone from the moment we walked up and there’s a lot of micro trash in the camp sights.

We took family and friends to the river to float and War Eagle did not disappoint. They were nice from parking to the line to check in and even all the way to the bus loading and the drive there. Friendly workers all around. It was a bit busy but busy is good business. Rafts were well maintained and the resort looked well kept.

I traveled with my family for a mini vacation it was by far a wonderful place. It was very quiet peaceful.

All the staff was very friendly they went above and beyond to make sure we had all we needed.

The pool was the icing on the cake at the end of our days so relaxing.

The float trip was so fun and relaxing not crowded as we stayed Sunday and Monday so not many on the water but we loved it.

The cabin was outstanding much more than we expected for a cabin..very clean well maintained and updated furnishings..just as cute as could be, I loved the cabin so much I want one for my forever home lol

We make here about 3 times a year. The staff is very friendly. Super helpful. And this resort is clean. I recently visited family in Northern Georgia. We decided to go float the river, the "resort" we went through did not have much knowledge. They told us to go pick out our tube and be back before sunset. So I am beyond grateful to say to everyone war eagle resort is where you want to go. I'm proud to bring friends and family members here and say this is my home.

Primitive camping on a thursday-sunday. Got there Thursday and Eric was super helpful. Floated both Saturday and Sunday and had a great time with quite a few friends. Camp grounds were SUPER clean, shuttles from the campground for the float trips were extra helpful and the onsite bathroom with showers were equally clean and helpful. We've been numerous times, and will be back again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Campground is almost secluded. Very quiet. Definitely not a party place filled with folks of questionable behavior. Bring your kids, family and friends for great fun! Be sure to bring your pit as they have bundles of seasoned wood priced reasonably. Make sure to open them all the way because they provide the kindling so you'll have no trouble building your camp fire. Roasted hotdogs and marshmallows are sure to help creat fun memories you'll talk about for years to come. The 6 mile trip was perfect for us. We played in/on various interesting spots along the way. With several side puddles to explore for tadpoles, cool rocks and something called rock art (a way of stacking river rocks and pebbles into cool formations) built and left by other river goers as gifts that are certain to entertain kids of all ages.
**When reserving your stay, be sure to take note of who you spoke to and for what price. We were quoted one price and billed another price after making the 3 hour drive it was too late to argue about it as we had already paid the deposite up front. Make sure to include things like total vehicles and inquire about friends or family that may want to visit you during your trip. It's all available for an extra fee.** Our party consisted of 1 RV, 1 tent and two vehicles.

Hands down our favorite place to float the Illinois river. All of the staff is super friendly. They move quickly to get everyone to their rafts and make sure everyone is taken care of to enjoy their experience on the Illinois river. They offer bunk houses, motels, camping, and more. They take care of their equipment needed to make sure we have the best river trip.

I'll always love this place and I will always come back to this place, very peaceful and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors and loads of fun.
