Was very disappointed tonight. I only eat their Quesabirria tacos. I waited for 30 minutes for a Togo order. The chips were stale. The Birria tacos were cold. The broth for tacos was cold. The rice was cold. It was all terrible. It was only 8 o’clock so I guess they were shutting down the kitchen. But why was I waiting so long only to get cold food.

The food was terrible. The rice was so salty it was nasty. The fajitas had no taste at all. When I said something the night manager came over to argue with me. Then I was told how rude I was to say that the food was awful. It'd be different if I ate the food, but it was so bad I couldn't handle a second bite.

Started me off with some amazing salsa & chips. Usually table salsa is bland but their’s actually has some flavor & little bit of kick without having to order spicy. I personally like it hot but flavorful will always make me happy. Server was kind, fast & accurate. Food was notably fresh & filling. Additional condiments & sauces are available at all tables without needing to request them. Atmosphere & building design make you smile.

We have been eating here for a while now and tonight was terrible. The time before tonight was bad as well. The chicken for the chimichanga wasn’t shredded it was the cut chicken and it was soaking wet. Cheese not melted in quesadilla, melted cheese over top of the beans on one plate but the regular cheese on the other two. Asked for no salad or lettuce or sourcream, still got it. And the carna was all lime. And our waitor said he didn’t know why the kitchen made it like that when we asked why it was done differently than everytime we have been. It has been so good before but I dont know what they have going on now.

Amazing Mexican Cafe in historic Opelika that is well worth the visit. Loved the decor! Especially liked the clean, crisp uniforms and smiling staff. Great atmosphere. Enormous menu. Very quick and courteous service. Crazy good salsa. My food was delicious and fresh. (The bar looked interacting but didn't have an opportunity to try a beverage.) Will definitely stop by during my next trip through the area!

I went to have a $6.95 lunch special. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I was impressed with the clean and lively appearance of the restaurant. I was also impressed with the prompt and hospitable service. The salsa that you get with the chips was rich and thick. You know how some of those sauces drip off the chip and all over the menu and table on the way to your mouth? Not this one. I had the chili rellano and tamal, lunch #1, which comes with rice and beans. I’ll try something else next trip. Menu is well illustrated.
