A very disappointing experience. On arrival, the owner informed us that he was going on camping and there would be no breakfast served! He promised a refund for it. Further disappointment was discovering that bathroom is shared. Travelling with my daughter, I would not have booked there if I had known that. Luckily we were the only guests downstairs. Being the only guests, the owner offered us a choice of rooms. I had booked a room with twin beds because I had been ill and didn't want to pass it on to my daughter, but the other room available had AC (who would have thought you'd book a room without AC - the temperature was well over 100!). We decided to take the room with AC because of the extreme heat. After we had put our stuff into the room he informed me that that room cost more so I would no longer be getting a refund for breakfast. I felt cheated and was very unhappy but not willing to make a fuss when I would be there alone with my daughter. He then left. There was not even a glass and some water, let alone a coffee station.

Absolutely lovely experience. The grounds are gorgeous, the dog Luna is a treat, and David made delicious biscuits as a part of a lovely spread. The only thing was I didnāt realize the Queen room didnāt have a private bathroom, though I suppose thatās on me for not reading properly. Still, the bathrooms were very clean and the stay was comfortable, cozy, and quiet.
I would definitely recommend!

We love coming to Davidās Bed and Breakfast. He always makes you feel welcomed and provides a great meal. The indoor jacuzzi is fantastic and thought the bed in that room was also extremely comfortable. ||We always seem to make new friends at the house and at the least everyoneās been super friendly during our multiple stays.||Our favorite winery is within walking distance which is an added bonus! ||Canāt go wrong for the price!||Brett and Holly

The Vineyard View B & B is located outside Hood River downtown, out in the country a bit in vineyard country. When you drive up, youāre not sure you are in the right place seeing the back of the building, but walk around back, and a lovely garden area, complete with patios, sitting areas and a view of Mt. Hood, awaits you. We were greeted by the friendliest of guys, our host, Dave. My husband and Dave happily swapped lots of stories. We were shown to our room and were impressed by the art on the walls and the dĆ©cor of the room. Interesting old antiquey type furniture, very comfy bed. Upon return from dinner, we had plenty of privacy and got a great nightās sleepā¦the countryside is pretty quiet! Dave made us breakfast in the morningā¦homemade blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, thick bacon and lots of delicious coffee! He is quite the chef! We sat with Dave,Soma and their son for breakfast, with easy conversation and lots of laughs. The pancakes were just amazing!!! Dave prides himself on using organic and fresh local ingredients and it shows! We only stayed one night as we were headed south, but would definitely recommend the Vineyard View B & B for any length stay.

No reviews in a few years so I'll leave one. Nice enough place over all. I didn't get the full experience because I had to get on the road very early so I didn't stay for breakfast.||||As others have mentioned the owner may not be there on your arrival and was not for me. No problem, let yourself in. Please take off your shoes the white board by the door says, among a ton of scrawled illegible random stuff.||||The family suite is upstairs. I think the website is out of date because as I remember the room actually has two small beds (not sure if they were twin or double, probably twin) and one queen and no bunk bed so I'd say it will sleep 4, not 6. There is a table where one of the beds is pictured on the website. Biggest thing I noticed was that the website says it has a private full bath but the room actually has a half bath. If there is a full bath for your exclusive use I don't know where it is, maybe the first floor, but I wouldn't call it private.||||The main website says continental breakfast, the reservation page says gourmet breakfast, I assume it's the latter but again I didn't stay for that.||||Still I was happy with my stay. For me it worked and was a peaceful place. The surrounding vineyard makes for a nice setting. The room was clean.||||I am giving it three stars because 3 says "average" and 4 says "very good" and I would call it "good" given that the website description didn't match what the room had and I see reviews about that going back years. I assume the operator does not and cannot directly maintain the website. If the description of 4 stars were "good" instead of "very good" on Trip Advisor that's what I would give it.

We loved our stay here and are very grateful to Soma and Dave for hosting us. The outdoor space is beautiful with plenty of places to sit and relax. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub in the large suite was a very nice touch. Breakfast in the morning was great as well - pancakes with fresh, local blueberries. We were recommended to Vineyard View by family who also love to stay here, and we will definitely be returning!

Our housemates were loud & very messy. Host took no responsibility or accountability in the situation. We were kept up late at night with partying housemates and woke up to no coffee and a kitchen that had been left in shambles from the night before. Very disappointing. We opted not to stay for the breakfast (that was included in what we paid for). Might be a nice place if you were booking all of the rooms with family/friends, but not for a relaxing night away since there are apparently no rules or enforced consideration of other guests.

My wife and I stayed here on a slow fall evening and were told upon check-in that we had the place to ourselves since there were no other guests. After returning from dinner around 8:45 that evening, we noticed the host was entertaining guests (perhaps family) in the dining room off the kitchen. The host and his guests were extremely loud the entire evening and it took me leaving our room at 11:30pm to tell them to keep it down since we were trying to sleep. The host looked shocked and informed us he did not think were in the house.
On top of this, the host was nowhere to be found at 8am the next morning, the time we agreed upon for breakfast. My wife and I left without breakfast and happy to be rid of the terrible experience.
Other notes about the house:
1. Holes in the bedsheets
2. Mildew on the caulking in the
bathroom. Extremely dated and a little gross.
3. Cobwebs in the corners of the bedroom.
Overall, we could have overlooked the appearance of the room and bathroom given the price we paid, but the experience we had was inexcusable. We will not be returning.
