Village Cafe is a humble spot with breakfast foods that will leave you satisfied. The parking lot is large, but the cafe not so much. When I ordered my food, a bunch of people were waiting in line, and half of the seats were already taken. I had a mild panic over how everybody would be able to sit down indoors. I know that there are customers who order to-go, but there also could've been a possibility that some wanted to sit down & eat, but felt compelled to order out because of the tight space.

That would be my only complaint, because everything else was very pleasant. They have a chalkboard above the cashier that lists all their items, but you can ask for a paper copy too. I had their two eggs & cheese sandwich with a sausage patty with bottled orange juice. The food was tasty, and I would eat here again. Now, if I'll stay to eat is another story!

Great spot! Food was really tasty and service was also top notch. The girl at the front was so kind. Just passing through and super jealous of people who get to have this spot in town!

It's tragic that I just finally tried this place, lol. on the road all week and Saturday morning, decided to stop in. Had the Feta, tomato and spinach breakfast wrap, and smoked turkey, the meat, not the country, breakfast sandwich on a roll that was flaky like a croissant. The home fries are absolutely delicious with no machete chopped onions or anything else crunchy like hatchet chopped peppers yuck, just potatoes slow grilled to perfection. Add some sweet, friendly service and a "good morning," and yep, I'll be back!

What a great little cafe. The young lady who took our orders was so nice and friendly. The owner was also super friendly. Both of them were working hard and kept the orders coming all the while with a smile. All eight of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunches and we would all highly recommend stopping here.

We went here on a whim to grab a quick bite to eat. The employees were SO friendly and sweet! We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with bacon regular fries and sweet potato fries. Oh my LANTA. Seriously the best chicken sandwich we have ever had. Hand cut Shoe string French fries, literal perfection. And the sweet potato fries, CHEFS KISS. It was just the perfect Saturday lunch with my honey. Thank you. 🖤

I have driven by numerous times, but my uncle came into town and suggested this place. Thought why not. Had no idea it was a place with breakfast all day and lunch. The menu has many options. Took me a minute to look at everything. We chose tuna melts and a roast beef sandwich 😋. Nice Atmosphere. A good number of people came in and out. Clean and Atmosphere was diner like. The food was good. I'd come again

After stopping at Sift Cafe, and cafeSol, we couldn’t get seating, so we stopped in Village Cafe, it was a wonderful surprise! My father had recommended this restaurant multiple times but this was my first time! It’s obviously a family owned and run restaurant because the young lady behind the counter was so accommodating and friendly. The food was wonderful and tasty!! Next time I’m in Connecticut it will be a must stop!

For me the Village Cafe is the premier breakfast cafe in the area. I eat breakfast there 2 to 3 times a week. The front counter is dutifully manned by Rita who knows everyone by their first names and greets you upon coming in. The food is prepared by Nick, back in the kitchen, who pays attention to every detail to make sure your breakfast comes out perfect. For a breakfast sandwich that means your hard roll is buttered and grilled in the inside, your bacon is cut to sandwich size and crispy, and your egg and cheese are melted together when it is served. If you want something prepared differently due to personal preferences or dietary restrictions then just tell Rita and she will make it happen, no problem. The coffee is always hot and delicious. The cafe is usually open by 7:15 am. So stop in and give it a try if you haven’t tried the place. It’s a great way to start the day.
