I booked a room in the historic house several months in advance. When we got there, the inn was locked. We called the host and were told to use a room in the carriage house instead, which was dusty and not clean. We weren't even given a key to the room, so we couldn't lock it. We DID NOT stay there and asked for a refund but the owner refused.

Staying at The Victorian Villa Inn is like stepping back into time.. The beautiful rooms are spacious and the furnishings are truly amazing! The Gibsons are 5 Star hosts -- delicious, fresh food is served along with gracious hospitality. Susn is extremely kind and helpful, and Josh took us to their lamp shop where we purchased our own Victorian lamp. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return again. We were looking for a real Victorian experience, and we were not disappointed.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We LOVED this place!! We arrived a little later in the evening than we wanted to and I kept calling to update them- they were extremely kind and understanding and Sue greeted us when we arrived to show us to our room. We stayed in the Sherlock Holmes room and it was so cool. Very clean and the whole place is just beautiful. On Sunday we had a delicious breakfast that Sue cooked and she gave us a tour, explaining architecture and practices of the Victorian Era. She was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel like family. We would love to get back here sometime because it was so charming and we loved the staff. We live a few hours away and were there for a wedding but we will definitely be making the trip back sometime. I highly recommend The Victorian Villa if you want a true Bed & Breakfast experience, in a gorgeous Victorian mansion!

Honestly one of the best getaway weekends we’ve ever experienced thanks to the hospitality of Susan and Ron. The Vintage Villas took us back in time with it’s ornate, early era design. We are big into antiques so there was plenty to do during the day around the area.

The rooms are fantastic and the furniture is nothing less than... awe struck! Susan and Ron were extremely hospitable and the breakfast in the morning was delicious!

We will definitely be back in the fall, probably winter as well... we have found our new second home!

I honestly wish that I could give more than 5 stars. This place was absolutely amazing! We attended a wedding in Colon MI and the B&B was recommended to us. We arrived later than we wanted to on Saturday night, so I kept calling to update them. They were so friendly and accommodating and Sue met us out front, upon arrival, to show us to our room. We stayed in The Carriage House, in the Sherlock Holme's room. It was SOOOO cool!!! You can tell that Sue's husband is a huge Sherlock fan because of the all of the memorabilia that they have in glass cases.

On Sunday morning Sue made us a delicious breakfast in the main house and gave us a tour of the main house. It is absolutely stunning and it's HUGE! She was educating us on the architecture and practices of the Victorian Era. She is extremely knowledgeable. She took so much of her time to make us feel welcome and at home, and they truly made us feel like family.

If you want a true B&B experience at a gorgeous Victorian home, stay here! We live a few hours away but we are already looking forward to the day when we can come back to visit.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the historic villa and feel like we made a friend in Susan and Ron. What a fabulous nostalgic home with amazing post Civil War architecture. Of all the B&B we have been to this one is the most unique and so warm with personality. It is amazing to have a mansion sized home FILLED with antiquities and beauty. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Susan was so accommodating and personable. It was cool to meet much of her family when having the delicious and ample breakfast and hearing about the history of the home, it's former residents and the surrounding area. We would stay again if passing through the area in the future. If you like historical surroundings and antiquities abounding, stay at the Victorian Villa Inn. It was a blessing to be able to roam around the home's open rooms and see how each one had it's own character. I am a big fan of beautiful lamps also which were plentiful everywhere you looked. Thank you Susan for being so sweet

Excellent stay. Loved the historical decor and incredible hospitality of Ron and Sue. Have to say soaking in an antique tub was a real highlight. Lastly, Sue makes a killer omelet and "to die for" muffins. Highly recommended for sure!!!

If you are looking for the true bed and breakfast experience, than the Victorian Villa Inn is where you need to stay. The Inn was amazing to explore and there was so much to see and appreciate not only inside but outside too. Breakfast was delicious and filling but the best part about the experience was the people running it. We were welcomed and treated as not only guests but also “part of the family”. They took excellent care of us and made us feel at home. We will be booking another stay in the future.
