This B&B was just perfect! The decor of every room was beautiful. Pete and Andrea were awesome hosts. The full breakfast was delicious and sitting outside on the deck in the sunshine was lovely!! Thanks for everything.

My wife and I got the chance to stay at the very lovely bed and breakfast in John Day. Andrea and Pete were not only very accommodating but extremely friendly and attentive. Very nice accommodations clean (which is very important to me) and bright. The breakfast was awesome. Looking forward to our next visit and enjoying the relaxing environment. Did I mention the spectacular view off the back deck. Got to go again real soon.

Just a few miles from main street in John Day, OR. The owners are super sweet! So comfortable. Fun to sit at the fire pit. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it! Weather was perfect for eating outside on the porch enjoying the lovely view.

My husband and I spent two nights here and were very impressed with the owners and facility. The house actually has 4 guest bedrooms on the 2nd floor with a large open area for relaxing. The views are amazing as the home sits up on a hill and overlooks valleys and mountains. Cows and horses graze in the distance. We had the "Pemberly Room" which like everything else in the home is decorated like something out of a magazine. The owners went to great lengths to make their home comfortable and welcoming for guests. You do have to drive for a short distance outside downtown John Day, but it's well worth the drive. The wraparound porch and back patio are a great place to relax and enjoy the view. Andrea brought us appetizers each afternoon, and her breakfast was all homemade and plentiful. The only "negative" might be that there is only one bathroom with shower upstairs for the guests to share, but there is a 2nd bathroom downstairs guest are invited to use. Only one other bedroom was in use when we stayed so it was never an issue. Once you stay here you will feel like family. We would love to return! .

June 30th and 31st of 2021 we had the pleasure of staying at Pete & Andrea Martinez’s Victorian Lane Bed & Breakfast in John Day Oregon. The hospitality was appreciated after our drive through Hell’s Canyon to visit my wife’s sister in John Day. The accommodations were comfortable and pleasant. The breakfasts were delicious and the view on the patio was beautiful. We lingered in and soaked up the serenity – hooting owls, chirping birds, and small mammals scurrying about. A tapestry of greens and tans with tree stubble under a blue sky with dreamy clouds on a lumpy canvas of the high desert.

This bnb was fantastic. Pete and Andrea were perfect hosts. Our room was beautifully decorated and the queen bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was the best. Out on the deck facing the open country we were served a spinach and avocado omelette, bacon, sausage, french toast, fresh fruit and hash browns... Coffee and juice too. We wish we could have stayed longer and will of course return.

If you're planning a visit to John Day, and thinking about staying at the Best Western in town, DON'T. The real value is here. You'll really feel like you're on vacation with Pete and Andrea, who take amazing care of their guests. The peace and tranquility will melt away whatever ails you. As for breakfast, bring a second stomach, it may be the only meal you need during your stay. I have never received this kind of care and service at any BnB or hotel, and we've stayed in some REALLY nice places. Be prepared to be both treated like family and royalty. I hope I get to come back soon.
