Gary and Claire were enjoyable to talk with and provided a delicious breakfast. Claire accommodated my gluten-free needs. Also knowledgeable about nearby activities.

Beautiful location and a cozy, rustic, comfortable house. No wifi. Takes credit card. Yes electricity (all solar!), ample heating (in the winter when we visited), and hot showers. No online presence, but you can call and set up the reservation by phone.

Would recommend and hope to be back!

Not only is the Valley of the Gods road spectacular, so is this lodging that shares the name. The stone home is immaculate. Our rock walled room was beautiful and unique. We thought everything about this place was charming. After a delicious homemade breakfast with conversation about authors, the hostess gave me a book. We were thrilled that our dog was welcome too. She enjoyed playing with the lodge dog, Hope, on the spacious front porch.

From the moment you arrive and hear "welcome home" your relaxing begins. The calm, quiet and indescribable views move through your entire being. To have such great accommodations in the midst of such serenity is quite a treasure. While there is so much to see and visit all around, we enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the light change. Reading a bit, enjoying the spring breeze and watching the birds was just a tremendous treat.

I had never stayed in a stone house before, but was surprised to find it cool inside even when it is blistering hot outside. The views from the off grid property were unbelievable!! I am on a thirty six day road trip and I guarantee this one night stay will be one of the most memorable.

We recently spent four nights at the Valley of the Gods Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Root Cellar, a stand alone cabin across from the main house. The cabin was super clean and comfortable. We took a lot at the two rooms in the house (beautiful stone and heavy timber construction) and they look wonderful, too. Claire and her family are terrific hosts and the breakfasts on the porch were simply outstanding. The surrounding area is spectacular and very, very beautiful. The Valley of the Gods is other worldly. The Moki Dugway, a miles long series of switchbacks, rises high above the property to take you up to Cedar Mesa area and Bears Ears National Monument. Combine all that with nearby Monument Valley and you'll be torn between all there is to do in the area and just wanting to sit on the porch all day at this super comfortable property. A very special spot. Thank you, Claire. We will be back for sure.

The year was 2006… It’s taken me far too long to write this review - inspired by a recent trawl through our treasured photo books. I doubt Claire and Gary will remember the four ‘hiking mad’ British people (two couples) from so long ago, but we certainly remember them and the fabulous time we had at Valley Of The Gods B&B. I won’t waste time repeating all the accolades heaped upon Claire and Gary by others reviewers, but suffice to say we’ve never stayed anywhere that tops the VOTG B&B experience. Nor have we experienced this level of hospitality. This isn’t just somewhere to sleep - it’s a centre for adventure amongst the buttes, canyons, meanders, huge natural bridges. If walking fit, this is the most amazing place to hike - to truly experience what this vast area has to offer - and a stay at VOTG B&B enhances it.

First of all, Claire and Gary are wonderful hosts. We loved out conversations and Gary's suggestions about where to hike and their knowledge of the area. Secondly, the location is absolutely perfect. In fact, my husband and I want to return just to hang out in Valley of the Gods and hike off trail. The views are breathtaking and inspiring. The accommodations are top notch, immaculate rooms, memory foam comfy beds, great breakfasts. We could not have had a better weekend.

This was probably my favourite place to stay in Utah. ||||It is a remote, charming B&B to wind down and take in the beauty of Valley of the Gods. I came across the property online and proceeded to book by phone right away. Luckily, they had room for the one night stay that fit my road trip itinerary.||||We stayed in the separate stone cottage and were the only guests at the time. Technically, the B&B wasn’t even open as they had a private guest during our visit but they were kind enough to offer the cottage to us. It was perfect! Very comfortable (unless you have mobility issues), private and cute, with a front terrace made for admiring the sunsets and sunrises.||||We came with provisions and enjoyed a private picnic on the porch. I would not have wanted to drive to off-site dinner venues in the dark, but most people probably wouldn’t mind doing that. Just as long as you’re aware.||||The best part of the visit was the absolutely amazing night sky with so many stars, I have never experienced anything similar in the world. Mesmerising.||||I would strongly recommend a stay at Valley of the Gods B&B. It is a unique property that offers wonderful solitude in gorgeous nature.||||Check out my blog Hopping Around the Globe in Style for more details of my visit to Valley of the Gods.
