Valhalla Resort Hotel - Helen, Georgia

Loved this resort! We were happy to see The Valhalla accepted dogs as most hotels in Helen do not. We had a floor level King Suite with sliding doors to an outdoor area for the pups. There was plenty of space for us and our 2 large dogs to rest and ample room for at least 1 extra large crate. We worked out at the gym which is quite small for it as long as only 1 or 2 people are there it’s fine. The staff were all very friendly and bent over backwards to make our stay the best! We also enjoyed walking in the surrounding neighborhoods which has beautiful views! Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it! We did not have a great experience at the restaurant but I addressed that in a separate review as I did not want to diminish this review. We also tried the Sky Bar and, for some reason, that experience was quite good despite the regular bartender being absent and the manager taking over. It could be that because it was a Friday night the kitchen staff was better than on the Sunday night we ate at the Caledonian room.

This was a surprise birthday trip planned by my husband. This resort could not do enough for us. Champagne on arrival for check-in. My husband had asked for some special things for my birthday and they were so accommodating. Tea in the afternoon, great food in the restaurant for dinner! Large suite with large bathroom, walk-in shower. Bed very comfortable, and peaceful sleep. Breakfast included in our package and was delicious. Can't say enough good things about this resort. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Me and my husband went here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! It is evident that the chef truly enjoys cooking as the food was excellent! The service was impeccable! Regan along with the rest of the staff was amazing!

This review is pretty specific as our attendance was only for Christmas and the offered buffet. The price for the limited selection was just absurd. The quality of the food was Good and had good flavor. The wait staff at the buffet were pleasant. Our waitress attempted to be accommodating but seemed quite overwhelmed. My drinks never received a refill and my wife and I had to ask three different servers for a refill of Coca Cola. We had a SIGNIFICANTLY better experience at a thanksgiving event held at the Hilton in Daytona beach. Same price and table after table after table after table of dining options and the wait staff was much more plentiful. However as we were traveling, this was the only option available to us based on our location. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place for their events out of this experience. Maybe the rest of the facilities make up for it but we cannot judge.

We decided to venture to Helen after a long, crazy hurricane season, which included experiencing damage to our home. We hoped to have a perfect little getaway and disconnect from all the recent stress.|Check-in was great, Judy was awesome! The valet (not sure of his name) was also great! We have an electric car and he escorted my husband with a golf cart to the charging stations. Unfortunately, the guest charging stations were down so he offered us the employee charging station and told us to feel free to use it as needed.|After returning from a scenic drive on Sunday, we decided to plug back in for a top off (10%) before our next adventure to Asheville.|Low and behold as we were going to enjoy breakfast, a very rude man (another valet I think) came up to us and instead of saying good morning immediately hit us with "DO YOU OWN THE TESLA? YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THAT!" We explained about what happened the day before and the guest charging stations not working, he didn't care stating that the Manager (Tammy) would come over and get us from breakfast to settle up on the fees. I explained that we would like to enjoy breakfast and not deal with the issue during breakfast. He continued to push. Finally, I waited for Tammy, also very rude to us and shared that not only did we have to pay, that she cut the power to the vehicle because it wasn't paid for. You think since they had the tag info they could have approached this in a different way and notified us in advance.|Sadly, this rudeness ended what started as a wonderful weekend and we decided to skip breakfast and departed early.|We thought we would be planning a huge family reunion at this location next year, but that has changed now.|Electric Vehicle owners beware.|Oh and did I mention that the rude valet then attempted to offer us water as we were leaving...guess he felt bad and realized he did wrong. An apology would have been better.|I really wanted to do 1 star, but since Judy was so nice, and the resort overall was nice, I went for a 3.

This spa is absolutely amazing that people are so friendly. The staff is just the very best… My wife and I actually own a medical spa in North Atlanta and we’re blown away at every aspect of our journey from checking in to leaving and even before. Kaily was amazing and lined up a full agenda for us beforehand, customizing it to exactly what we needed… One of the best spas in America!!

It was St Patrick’s weekend and the Valhalla restaurant featured a corn beef and cabbage dinner. |The beer selection and food was great … ate every bite. |They also had a roof top bar that we enjoyed before eating… drinks were preferred perfectly!

I cannot express enough how awesome everyone at Valhalla Resort is. We had our entire family here for our wedding and the staff made sure everyone was welcome.

Michiela Lewis, (is the best) did everything and more to make sure this day was special and perfect for us. She handled all of the decorating and coordinating. She does amazing work.
Matthew who works in the sky lounge was an additional joy to talk with and entertain the family.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for any event to consider Valhalla Resort. It is just beautiful. And everyone on staff there is a pleasure and so nice.
