This is now my "go to" for Italian, hands down!

Very friendly staff and a cozy and interesting atmosphere. I sat at the bar, which was very pleasant. I would have possibly had to wait a bit to be seated if I wasn't wanting to be seated at the bar. I was the only one seated there other than another woman waiting for her take- out order for a short time.

The house-made bread was absolutely fantastic as was the slightly spicy marinara dipping sauce it was served with.

They make their own Bleu Cheese dressing....which was also amazing!

I had the ravioli with meatballs which was wonderful, and more than enough food for a nice, small serving for my lunch next day leftover.

I can't wait to try other menu options (of which there are an abundance) and will most definitely be returning to do so!

I had the chicken Alfredo and the chicken was really good & the sauce was pretty good also, but the noodles were gummy and overcooked. I did not complain to the waitress because I didn't have time for them to re-make my meal. The bread and the sauce that comes with it is absolutely fabulous. I ordered crab cakes to go for my aunt, and she said they were exceptionally good. I would go back again but i would make sure to ask the server to be sure the fettuccine is al-dente, due to my experience today.

Nope - never again!

Nope - not again!!! First time was a little disappointing as halfway through dinner the wait staff started cleaning up all of the tables around us. It was so loud and distracting we couldn't enjoy our evening out with friends. The pasta was NOT al dente, and the calamari was served without lemon wedges. Still the chicken parm was good. Just a few weeks ago, my husband and I returned and thought let's give it another chance. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and again no lemon wedges which is traditional in Italian restaurants. We asked for them and by the time they arrived, the calamari were ice cold. The frying oil also probably needs to be changed also as the smell overwhelmed the food. The waitress told us that French onion soup was an option as a side in lieu of salad before our entre. When the bill came, we were charged $4 for a cup of soup. She should have mentioned that there was an up charge. I ordered the shrimp scampi which was served with raw/jarred garlic and diced tomatoes. The shrimp were overcooked and tough and the pasta was overcooked. I couldn't eat it at all. The waitress noticed I didn't eat it and offered to take it off the bill and bring me something else. At that point, I had lost my appetite. My husband's marsala sauce was gelatinous. Chicken was decent. The red dipping sauce for the bread has a Mexican spice flavor and strange but the bread is very good. I filled up on that as I didn't eat my entree. Finally, we ordered a slice of the NY style cheesecake with berries. It arrived with a huge dollop of whipped cream and some berry juice. The fresh whipped cream had gone flat and melted all over the plate and slice and looked so unappetizing. Didn't the waitress notice this? I asked where the berries were, and she took the slice and returned a few minutes later with slices of a fresh strawberry thrown on top. The cheesecake had a refrigerator taste as well. Average entree is $25 - $35 too! This area needs more restaurants!!!

Update Jan 6 2023. Yum! My wife had the Alfredo (huge serving) and I had the baked haddock prepped with an Italian seasoned crumb. My fish was fresh, moist, tender. Large portion. Our fried calamari appetizer was light and perfectly seasoned. Not easy to pull off. Too many restaurants kill the flavor by over-seasoning. Not here. For dessert we shared a Tiramisu Gelato. Crazy creative and very satisfying. My coffee was the real deal - fresh and strong. Incredibly attentive, friendly service, fair prices. We called ahead for reservations and I suggest you do the same. Several customers who walked in without reservations turned and left after being told about the wait. Tonight is Saturday and that makes a difference. Maybe easier to get a table during the week? Pics attached.

UPDATE APRIL 26: We're back! This time for dinner. Still a solid 5 stars. This is food enhanced. This is added value. My wife had the Caesar Salad and I had the Veal Piccata prepared traditionally with mushrooms, capers and a sauce from butter, lemon, garlic and white wine. The amount of veal I received was surprisingly large. My wife's Caesar was over-dressed which made the romaine soggy by the time she finished the huge portion but the flavor was spot on and as expected, the plate was served well chilled. My veal was tender and the taste was robust and very savory. My veal came with a side of angel hair pasta prepared as it should be - al dente. My order came with a side salad but it wasn't made with boring lettuce or even romaine. They serve crisp, chilled spring mix which has a pop and a special freshness. We started the night with a fried calamari app. Really tasty. Not salty. Not overly breaded. Not greasy. Just perfect. a great dinner was topped off with a shared slice of cheese cake. Any restaurant can place a slice of cheese cake on a plate and serve it and most patrons would be happy. Valentino's goes above and beyond. See my pic - the cheese cake was topped with fresh whipped cream AND a savory blueberry-raspberry sauce. Really impressive. Very creative and an obvious desire to give the customer an elevated experience.

My wife has had lunch here with friends and loved it but this was my first time. Can I give Valentino’s 6 stars? I’m third generation Southern New Jersey Italian and I have never experienced that style or quality of Italian food anywhere else. To find it in, of all places, Florence, AZ is incredible. This food is the real deal. My wife had the Mussels Valentino with the lemon butter white wine garlic sauce option ($13.79). It’s also available in a tomato cream sauce version. I tasted one. Perfection. Great mouth feel. Not over cooked or rubbery. That’s hard to pull off. Good-sized mussels and the perfect lunch-size portion. When you’re seated, you’ll be served a complementary basket of warm house-made fresh-baked Italian rustic loaf bread. Again – as authentic as you’ll find anywhere. Your bread is served with a cup of very spicy marinara and a cup of butter. Watch out for that spicy marinara. I like hot but this stuff will drain your sinuses. I had the Italian sausage panini with roasted green bell pepper and onion served on a crunchy, flavorful Italian rustic sub roll with melted mozz and tomato sauce ($11.79). Brought a tear to my eye ;-). I had a choice of elbow macaroni salad, potato chips or coleslaw as a side. Fries or a side salad are available at an added cost. Service was great. The setting is upper-scale casual with dim lighting. Cozy, comfortable. An overall good experience.

My boyfriend and I tried Valentino’s for the first time today. Everything we had for brunch was incredible! We tried their breakfast burrito and apple pancakes, and oh my goodness, they were so good! The pancakes were huge and filled with apple chunks and tasted divine. The breakfast burrito was so rich and hearty and full of high quality ingredients.

Also, the staff was so nice and attentive. Our waitress was amazing, and Rob, the chef, came out to check with us on how the food was. Everyone was so friendly and made our experience even better.

Definitely a great first experience and my boyfriend and I can’t wait to go back to try their dinner menu!!
