Decided to try this place for breakfast. The vibe is very laid back and mellow. The lady we placed our order with at the counter was very friendly and helpful when placing the order, given this was our first time here. Love that they use good wholesome ingredients! I got the steak and eggs breakfast while my husband got a breakfast sandwich. Pastries looked delicious and couldn't pass up on them. Husband got a croissant while I got the churro croissant. Everything was phenomenal! Husband couldn't stop raving about the croissant. He said it's the BEST croissant he has ever had! Since coming here I have already told others that they need to try this place. I look forward to returning here on my next visit!

We love the outdoor seating and the antique shop inside the coffee shop. We enjoy the pastries and coffee; however, we are not fans of the avocado toast with fish or the corn cake/bread. We wish they offered just a sourdough avocado toast. And offer food before 9am for early birds…

Best hot dog i’ve ever had. Great wine menu. insane melon matcha drink. you can shop for some vintage clothes and furniture while you wait for your food. Incredibly creative, meticulous food that’s at the same time so grounded in the products, cuisine of the southwest. there isn’t one dish on the menu that doesn’t have a ton of painstaking detail and passion behind it. only been thrice but it’s one of my favorite restaurants ever. phoenix is so cool.

I was going to give a 3 stars but the service was exceptional. I order the french toast tres leches and it was server totally burned —- I cannot understand how they dare to serve it to me all burned up!! Otherwise their pastries are good and the brunch hamburger a strong 4.5 but the breakfast sandwich is a regular sandwich I give it a 4. After the experience of the burn French toast I would not trust the kitchen a second time around

Eccentric take on modern cuisine. I had to look up more than half the words on the menu, which is not normal for me. The server staff was friendly and walked us through the special process of eating at this restaurant. Shared plates are encouraged. I was surprised at the limited protein options, but the food was delicious. Hatch chili lemonade with vodka was a treat. I ordered the crispy cauliflower plate and shared it with others. It was delicious, but in hindsight, I should have ordered the yuca and potato pave. Fortunately the gentlemen ordered the guinea hen pot pie and the ribs so we got to have some protein. The atmosphere was hip and felt like a fashion show for people watching. It was expensive for not much food but we understood that when we went. We chose a hip restaurant and we got a hip restaurant. The dishes came out as they were cooked and there were really long waiting times for some people in our party. From the first plate of crispy cauliflower to the last plate served (pot pie), it was about a 30 minute difference. Our olive appetizer did not come out first, we had to remind the server. For the long wait times. The server offered us free ice cream dessert. There is a high quality thrift store attached to the restaurant. They specialize in mid century modern furniture. It was like a museum.

Had the corn cappuccino, orange+anise sugar bun, and an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Total came to $22. The coffee and food were incredible, not too sweet, perfectly baked. Price was slightly higher than others in the area. Service was good, very busy but efficient. Tons of seating, good music at a good volume. Nice place for a quick coffee or bite.

Valentine was such a wonderful experience. We came in for dinner on a Sunday night. They had seating outside with heaters but if you want to be inside then I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. We ordered a bottle of wine which was wonderful. For food we shared everything and it was all delicious. The flavors were wonderful! We got the burrata and permission salad and hoja Santa Caesar. The burrata permission salad was very tasty. The Caesar was a different take and style to the usual Caesar. We also got the ribs which were so tasty with the az snack mix on top. And for dinner we shared the ribeye which was cooked to perfection. We want to give a shoutout to our server, Blaise. He was super attentive and helpful. We asked him how we can get to 1912 after dinner and he explained how we get there but then comes back and says I called them and made a reservation for you guys. That was so thoughtful and we truly appreciated the great service!!

Valentine offers a unique and inspired culinary journey that pays homage to the bounty of the Sonoran region. This charming eatery combines historical flavors with creative modern twists, delivering a dining experience that is both rooted in tradition and delightfully innovative. As well their friendly and energetic staff giving me the rundown on the menu and giving me their favorite dishes to help me choose the following….

The avocado toast with smoked trout was a standout, blending creamy, fresh avocado with the delicate smokiness of the trout. The squash toast was equally memorable, with a savory sweetness that complemented its earthy undertones beautifully.

The tres leches French toast stole the show. Topped with sage syrup and mesquite pecan butter, it was served on airy bread that soaked in all the flavors perfectly. The interplay of the buttery richness with the gentle herbal note of sage was nothing short of spectacular.

For drinks, the warm matcha was comforting and well-prepared, a perfect complement to the pastry selection. The chocolate croissant was filled with divine chocolate enhanced by the slight crunch of cocoa nibs. While the dough was a bit harder and not as flaky as expected.

Valentine is a must-visit for those seeking an inventive take on Sonoran-inspired cuisine, where every bite feels like a tribute to the region’s rich heritage. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!
