Our recent stay at Union Square Guest Quarters was nothing short of delightful! Nestled right in the heart of downtown, this charming boutique hotel offers a perfect blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and personalized service that made our visit feel extra special from start to finish.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the unique character of the property. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean—with cozy beds, plush linens, and thoughtful amenities that made it feel like a home away from home. We especially loved the private patios and inviting common areas that gave us space to relax and unwind in style.

But what really made our stay exceptional was the incredible downtown location. Stepping out of the hotel, we were just a short stroll away from some of the best nightlife the area has to offer. Whether we were enjoying live music at a local bar, sipping craft cocktails on a rooftop lounge, or exploring the vibrant art and dining scene, there was always something exciting happening just around the corner.

The nightlife in downtown Union Square is energetic yet laid-back, with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to strike up a conversation or discover a new favorite spot. We loved being able to explore the town without needing to drive—everything was right at our fingertips.

This was a really interesting place to stay. The family that owns these has several different choices of lodging downtown that are managed together. We stayed at the Jefferson option which is the least expensive. It is up a LONG flight of stairs but I think that is par for the course for historic lodging. These people really think about hospitality, for example they had TWO suitcase racks, not just one. They had a microwave and a fridge, which is unusual for this sort of inn. They had useful instructions for using the coffeemaker. Most of the rooms seem to have a combo dressing room and bathroom which is nice and there were places to put our toiletries bags. It is very quiet. The restaurant associated with the hotel is very good. Part of it is in an old railroad car that they have renovated. I actually bought a book about the owners and it seems that they have basically brought back their whole downtown single-handedly. There was a wifi issue that took a while to fix but they got it done about as quickly as one could. ||I first tried to book on a hotel booking website but it said that there was no availability. I REALLY wanted to stay here so I contacted the hotel directly and they had plenty of options.

Eldorado has class and charm downtown. This is my favorite place to stay when working in the area. Spacious rooms. Refrigerator and microwave. Great balcony to relax and enjoy.

I tell you what, there isn't a finer establishment on God's green earth. My buddy clide and I were coming through town pulling our fine 69 international 1 1/2 ton truck and decided to shut her down for the night in good ol El Dorado, the city of gold. We called this fine establishment and talked to the pretty and VERY lovely receptionist. We specifically asked for a room with 2 beds cause we ain't fruity like them city boys. And they offered us "room 25". We had no idea how nice this "room 25" was. We lived in luxury for a whole night. And I tell you what that restaurant "off the rails" is off the rails it was the best French toast I have ever had and I don't even like the French. We ate in THE train car because we were in "room 25". So.... if I could, I would rate it higher than a 5. Best place in merica

Recently did a weekend trip and chose to stay here because of the pictures on internet. Upon arrival it took us sometime to figure out how to get into our room. ( There is no front desk) After finally getting into our room it was layed out nice, but the furniture was like something from a garage sale, bathtub won't drain, coffee provided was not good. For the price that I payed I could have stayed in a beautiful hotel right down the street. I do not recommend Union Square.

This place was awesome. Well appointed rooms with thoughtful touches and an eclectic feel made this our favorite stay of the trip. Mrs Laura (I hope I got that right) was awesome to talk to, and made the process easy. When we come back we'll be staying here.

Unique rooms, very nice in old accommodations in these historic buildings. Come with breakfast at Union Square cafe and use the Health Works gym and pool. The price was reasonable.

5 stars for this lovely hotel! Walking distance to the music fest, stayed at the magnolia house Saturday night and brought our fur babies and we loved it. Such a cute and charming house. Very comfy bed and loved the Victorian style decor. Will definitely stay again next year!
