This hotel was a spur of the moment stop for us. We drove from Buffalo New York to this location because weather was keeping us from getting home to St. Louis. The staff were amazing and kind! Overnight was even better. They had tons to do down in the lobby. You could get play games or pool (which we played for hours while watching the weather.) there is tea and hot chocolate down the lobby overnight. Rooms are little small, but we had four people and we were just staying for the night. Location is amazing! There was tons to do and eat around this hotel. Not to mention we felt really safe. Would recommend and will be staying again in the future!

I have stayed at this location numerous times and have never really had a problem that couldn't be resolved. The location is still very new in 2025, so it has the nice things about a new location.

Rooms are pretty modern and plenty of wall outlets to plug in all your electronics. Beds are extremely comfortable, and they don't have the stupid small pillows that seem to still be around some hotels.

Pool is decent, and the workout facility is very nice. They do have two washers and two dryers, and they don't kill you on the price if you need to use them.

I like that you can get breakfast at the Home2 or Tru side, so they generally have what you would want (tip: Go to the Home2 side. Generally better).

The team that works here is also great. Very friendly and accommodating.

I would easily recommend this location if you need to stay in the Grove City area.

I’ve stayed at this hotel about 6 or 7 times as I’ve been traveling. The only complaint I have is about the house keeping staff. I feel like there is a poor culture or at least bad training taking place. Usually when I get to this hotel it’s at about 3-5 am. Every single time I’ve stayed here I put the do not disturb sign on the door so I can sleep in. Every single morning housekeeping still knocks and tries to open the door. I have the latch in place so the door can’t open all the way, so they then close the door and leave. One of the times this happened was 7:30 am. Why would you knock and attempt to enter when the door not disturb sign is on the door and it’s 7:30 am? They then continued to knock on the door and attempt to enter every two hours after that. I stayed here again last night, I got in at about 4:30 am, requested a late check out for 1 pm and put the sign on the door. Again house keeping knocked and tried to open the door at 10 am. If it’s before check out and the sign is on the door then you need to assume somebody is still in the room and does not want to be disturbed. It’s a ridiculous problem for this hotel to be having. It’s very annoying and disrespectful, it shows little regard for your customers. Everything else about the hotel is very nice. But somebody please fix the issue with the housekeeping staff or I won’t be returning for another stay.

Cons:
They do not thoroughly clean the rooms. Bring slippers because they mop once a month. So far, I have found a used tobacco pouch, a water bottle cap, and hair/lint in rooms on my first night. I have also seen hair left in restrooms on many occasions.

During several stays, I found that the amenities were not working. After reporting them, they still are not fixed. I know this because I stay in this hotel every week and give certain rooms a second chance to see if they are fixed.

Choose an even-numbered room if you’re on the second floor or above. Otherwise, the highway noise will surely disturb your sleep.

Despite having an ice machine on every floor, ice buckets are only available on the first floor.

I got stuck in the elevator because it was out of order, and they failed to put up a proper notification or take it offline. I had to call a coworker to inform the front desk, who then had to call the fire department to get me out.

Overall, it's better than most motels, but I've stayed in Knights Inns and Motel 6, which are better than this place. They suffer from poor management and maintenance. We are currently negotiating alternative options for our stays in Grove City.

Nice clean hotel which offers pet-friendly rooms. Front desk staff were very efficient and friendly. A fair bit of traffic noise if you have a room overlooking Route 71.

Overall great experience traveling for one night stay with my 2 dogs. I have stayed at TRU hotels several time and it was as expected.

The only issue:
Floors were not super clean and maybe spot wiped. I put a towel down for water bowl and once wet, the towel turned very dark brown and my socks from walking around. I’m unsure if it’s from snow tracking in dirt/mud or from build up on floors. There was also a slice of pizza discovered between the bench/wall (under the TV). I’m lucky my dogs didn’t actually eat it!!

Overall, I would return.

Called and asked a simple question, and one of the guys there seemed a little rude upon answering and ended up passing the phone to someone else. The walls are too thin I can hear my neighbors fart when my tv isn’t on. And the room I was in didn’t even have a microwave. Besides all that stuff it could be a very nice place to stay.

Stayed one night in a single king.
Pros: location is great, lots of dining and shopping in the area. Newer hotel, nicely appointed and friendly staff. Breakfast options are pretty standard for a hot and continental type meal. Bed was comfortable, mini fridge helped. Large tv and convenient accommodations for phone charging and usb powered devices. Generally clean room.
Cons:
Noisy. We had a room facing the highway and heard traffic all night long, not for light sleepers. You can hear everything in the halls as well. Smaller shower, tough for large people. Floor wasn’t mopped, but that is easily remedied

Overall ok. Would not want to make an extended stay here. There are plenty other options in the immediate area for a longer stay that may be ok.
