We went for a small getaway with friends. We have a 4 & 5 year old and the whole weekend was pure perfection! From entering the camp being easy and quick to having our add ons laid out. Every piece of furniture was perfectly picked and had a purpose. The coffee was great. The inlet that the paddle boards and kayaks in was perfect calm water it was a great first experience for the kids. Thank you for all the care and attention to detail.

Such a great spot!
My family did a reunion at Wind Creek where we rented a glamping tent. So glad we did!
We camped in July, so I was a little worried about air conditioning but it actually got a bit chilly at night.
Very well stocked, clean and the owners are super friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible- we love Timberline and the Lake Martin location is AWESOME. The lake is beautiful and the area by the tents is so peaceful and quiet- our kids loved being out on the water. Tent was perfect and beds were comfortable! It was a great weekend! We’ll be back again soon!

Wonderful Experience for Campers of Any Age and/or Experience

I'm not a camper - I've never slept in a tent or under the stars, but on my first-ever trip to Alabama I decided to take the plunge and try something new. Timberline Glamping at Lake Martin was the perfect opportunity to blend my preferred world of hotel comfort with my husband's preferred love of the great outdoors.

We booked a standard double tent for ourselves and our two service dogs and drove 755 miles to Lake Martin, Alabama. The tent was nicer than some hotel rooms! We had air conditioning, a refrigerator, Wi-Fi Internet and extremely comfortable beds. We also had a grill, fire pit, picnic table, and hammocks. It was our own private world overlooking the Wind Creek State Park marina. We spent four nights living the best of both worlds.

Perhaps the reason Timberline at Lake Martin provides such an exceptional experience is because Mike & Lisa are there to make each stay memorable. Mike greeted us when we first checked in and stopped by daily to check on us. By the time we left, I felt he and Lisa were like long-time friends. They go out of the way to enhance every camper's stay.

I don't know if or when we'll return to Alabama, but if we do, we will return to Lake Martin and the wonderful Timberline Glamping experience.

Our family stayed one night and had the best time! Mike is very friendly and we were greeted when we arrived. The restrooms/shower are a quick walk uphill lighted at night; beds were very comfortable and there is a ceiling fan plus air conditioning unit so the temp is as perfectly controlled. We kept a few items in the fridge onsite, enjoyed coffee in the morning. The location is very secure (gated within camping area in the state park) and a quick walk to the marina where we rented a pontoon one afternoon. We enjoyed cooking and making s’mores at the fire and enjoyed being in nature and birdwatching galore! This was extremely cozy and enjoyable and we would definitely come back!

We truly enjoyed our first Glamping experience! The location was perfect, right when you pull into the park. The tents were so cute, clean, and cold with the perfect AC unit in the tents. The tents we staying in had the perfect swimming area for the kids, and the hammocks in the back our sites were a hit for our kids. The beds were sooo comfortable and the owners Mike and his wife, were such a pleasure to talk with and were available for any suggestions of things to do around the area and just available any time we needed anything. We will most definitely be taking another glamping trip, hopefully much sooner than later!

TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I had originally scheduled this trip for Father’s Day weekend, but had to change the dates. When I initially called in to inquire if the reservation could be changed, I was thankful they were accommodating.
But it didn’t end there! In days leading up to reservation I called to inquire about early check in and they let me know to text the morning of and they’d see what they could do. When I texted, they were so quick to respond and we were thrilled they were able to flip the tent so quickly from the last visitor.
When we arrived - everyone greeted us by name!! I am not an influencer (nor trying to be) but these people made me feel so important and you could tell they truly cared. This is service I would never have expected… but now that I read the other reviews, I realize I was no exception to the standard these owners set.

Great place to make memories! Staff/employees were very friendly and helpful. We made the mistake of feeding the squirrels so they opted to feed themselves while we were away. 🙂 But it was all good! Grandchildren loved it!
