Decent breakfast experience with some hits and misses.
We visited on a Sunday at 9 AM — expected to be bit busy with a normal wait, unfortunately we waited 30 minutes for our three dishes after ordering at the counter. The outdoor seating has metal chairs (not the most comfortable), but they do have a play corner for toddlers, which is a great touch.
The banana pancakes were just okay—some banana slices on top, but I expected more or them to be more incorporated into the batter. At $10, nothing spectacular.
The herby scrambled eggs were easily the best dish—the goat cheese and eggs paired beautifully, even though I don’t usually love goat cheese. Definitely worth ordering.
The cast iron fried eggs were fine, though the potatoes were a bit undercooked. Overall, a solid dish but not standout.
A good spot, but with a few tweaks (faster service, fine-tuning some dishes), it could be great.

Cute vibes, beautiful garden/outdoor seating area, and generally good ambience. I had the house chai, which was lovely. I forgot to take a picture apparently, but I also got the fried eggs and potatoes, which came in the cutest mini cast iron skillet. The flavors were fresh and unique, with dill and goat cheese, and the portion was perfect for me. There is a sort of random selection of books in there, which is fun, but it does bother me when there are mature, adult-content books right next to children's books, as was the case. On a more positive note, I did notice that in the outdoor seating area there was a great collection of games for kids, which I love to see!
Overall, I really enjoyed it!

Lovely little spot for coffee, yummy food, and an unexpected awesome book section! We sat outside with beautiful weather. The egg salad sandwich was good and the chia pudding was perfect for hitting the road. Looking forward to visiting again!

The breakfast was phenomenal and service was professional, intelligent and extremely helpful. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Super fast service and a great location, walkable from all of downtown. Great book selection also. Will be back!

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint!! The in house made English muffin is delish!!! Loved the atmosphere and the owners are super friendly and gracious! Will definitely be going back!!!

Three Birds is the BEST! Not only are all the espresso drinks fabulous, the food could not be more fresh or flavor-packed, and the staff are lovely. You can't go wrong but the cashew toast, the little gems salad, and the turkey sandwich are three of our favs! The ambiance and outdoor space is a lovely spot to grab breakfast or lunch with someone or catch-up on work. Highly recommend!

Not only is it one of our fav spots in town, it is also where we hosted our welcome drinks/snacks during our wedding weekend in mid-May for about 60 people. Charlotte and Max were so great to work with - they were super communicative, flexible and made the planning process so easy. Charlotte and team put together the most beautiful and delicious charcuterie/veg spread - our guests couldn't stay away! Service was great and everyone loved it. Many of our wedding guests went back 2+ times before they left Ojai because they enjoyed it so much.

We recently moved out of state but it will be one of our first stops when we are back in mid-May. 🙂
