My husband and I stayed there the nights of the 24th and 25th in January 2025. We stayed in Unit 16, which had a hot tub and fireplace. The place was super cute. Was definitely outdated. We appreciate the unique sculptures, photos, and other displays. The room has an apartment size refrigerator and a microwave. A kitchen sink coffee maker. There was no heat in the bathroom, but it was okay if you just left the bathroom door open.||Saturday morning, it looked like my husband had two little bug bites on his neck, and they kind of itched a little bit, but we didn't pay too much attention to it. Sunday morning, my husband had bug bite tracks going across the shoulder down his arm and under his chin. When we were checking out, we left a note with a teenage boy who appeared to be the housekeeper. We'd asked him to leave it with the manager. However, he got into a car with his friends and took off. ||My husband had already scheduled a dermatologist appointment on Monday, and when he saw her, she confirmed they were indeed bug bites, likely bed bugs because of the pattern they left. ||Unfortunately, because of this, my husband is pretty miserable right now, and we will not be returning to that hotel or any other places owned by the same individual or group. It's a bit sad because we had initially hoped to make this trip more often to the same hotel once we saw our room!

So for the location to be clear is you show up after 6 you choices on food are like bar status.
Service was non existent except for the person at the desk so.
Our room was a good size the heating was like a gas panel that did not project well.so past the bed was cold all night.
Finally they need to fire there maintenance guy I was a handyman for 20+ years the surround was not finished properly the caulking everywhere was done by a 12 year old. Who ever installed the rooms flooring does not know what they are doing.
The tub wouldn't drain properly.
The shower head needs replaced it put out a lot of water so much the drain couldn't keep up so I took a shower with a half full bath tub. The lock on our door room 3 I think we'll it was the room on the left at the end it was nearly falling off the door. Also the shower rod was not installed properly and finally the bed sheets had stains on them the were red sheets and we could still see them we laid down a blanket we brought on top of it.

Charming place with one big problem… bedbugs.

We checked in on Friday as part of an excursion to Crater Lake. Stayed in #16, the jacuzzi suite, which is very roomy, has a big TV, sofa, AC, plenty of outlets, lovingly decorated.

But one of us woke up itchy on Saturday morning with small bumps and thought maybe they were from mosquitos. By Saturday evening / Sunday morning they had turned into a ton of classic bedbug bite patterns. Painful trail of red bumps on feet, hands, arms, etc similar to another reviewer who posted two weeks ago. Not everyone displays bites (like me), but my partner consistently has reactions to any kind of bite. It was a very unhappy discovery considering how easy bedbugs are to transport without knowing.

This is a real shame as otherwise this place is a gem in the area. Hopefully management will address this. Until then, be informed!

(+) Rooms are big and have unique themed decorations, very thoughtfully furnished. Proximity to Crater lake, though with the north entrance unexpectedly closed, detour from the South entrance took an extra hour. The area is quiet at night, were able to have a comfortable night's rest.

(-) Found some hair on bed sheets and on the toilet seat. The hair dryer was not working.

Rooms are big and uniquely designed with countryside theme. Though we reached late night, the staff was friendly and helpful. We could easily checkin and guess what, so clean and big rooms with countryside feel having wooden cabins, lanterns, log furniture, ice bucket, and many more.

My husband stayed in the "budget room" and the next week, we stayed in a "regular" room. Both were good rooms. Clean, charming decor, reasonable rates, and convenient for our purposes. Bed was very comfortable, something we can rarely mention. As we have an ill family member in that area, we will be making more trips over and plan to stay there.

Great little motel! Stayed with the kids and grandparents after a day at Crater Lake. Cute clean rooms with fun decor, comfy beds. The owner was on site and very friendly. The restaurant next door had great food. Would stay here again if in the area.

What a delightful lodge. The staff is kind and helpful and the rooms are amazing. When we walked into our room we were greeted with a country lodge feel. There was a lot of detail that was put into making it a true lodge. Snow shoes hanging on the wall, an old phone, rustic furniture, a lantern light and much more. I highly recommend this as a great place to stay.
