First off, the lodge is an absolute A+…spotless, comfortable, with every amenity possible. Steve and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts! Accommodating, attention to detail and friendly all describe this wonderful couple. What really sets this place apart for me was the delicious meals ELizabeth prepared every evening….and….the desserts were off the chart! The fishing experience went off without a hitch: Steve arranged everything, the guides were spot on, the river was beautiful, and the fishing was outstanding. We (a group pf four guys) take a fishing trip every year and the White River Inn is by far on the top of list of places we have visited. Thanks again Steve and Elizabeth!!

The White River Inn is everything you want in a luxury 5 Star lodge. Steve & Elisabeth are the perfect hosts as they both love fly fishing and both come from hospitality backgrounds. Their food is the best we’ve had at fishing lodges and we’ve been to many other similar lodges. Steve is super knowledgeable about the river and has a genuine interest in his guests having an epic experience. They are great people and fun to be with. This was our 3rd trip there in 8 months and we booked our 4th for this Fall (2025). The White River is a great fishery- my wife and I caught ~125+/- ‘bows & browns in 2 days! Can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic experience from the airport pick up, the welcome , the beauty of the inn and the terrific hosts. The inn sits in a beautiful high setting looking at the river. Rooms are spacious, super clean , comfortable bedding. Meals are fantastic , homemade and carefully presented Common areas are spacious with books and games. Fishing guides are professional and knowledgeable. The river is fished Hard and you will see plenty of other boats out there. Steve and Elisabeth caring innkeepers and are attentive to any need. We will come back!

We have just enjoyed our second stay at the White River Inn. Once again all expectations were exceeded. There is a reason that the White River Inn was voted top Orvis lodge destination for 2024. Steve and Elisabeth knock it out of the park with regard to hospitality, friendliness, service and gourmet meals. In addition, our fishing guide (Jason) is the best on the river. He is attentive, friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend this destination.

1st great service by Steve ; he answered all of our fishing questions well in advanced of our trip. Secondly, Elizabeth was an amazing cook; every meal was cooked properly. The cookies were yummy. Both were very polite and professional.
The lodge is super clean. Stephen set up 4 guides for our group. They were all great.

Incredible place. The lodge, the food, the fishing and the serenity cannot be topped. Steve and Elisabeth are gracious and attentive hosts that know how to make this an unforgettable experience. It is no wonder most of their business comes from repeat customers, like us!

Stayed at the White River Inn for my fishing trip and can't recommend it enough. Driving up was an experience in itself seeing all the deer and then the view overlooking the White River is outstanding. The inn and the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and every afternoon I looked forward to getting back for some of the best meals I every had after a day's fishing on the river. This is the perfect place to stay to trout fish on the White River and even if you don't plan on fishing but it would be a waste not to fish while you are there.

The pillows and mattress were perfection. The bathroom had shampoos, conditioners, body washes and bubbles for use in a shower and a Jacuzzi which were on par with a spa.||The meals were steak, pasta, lamb and wonderful desserts. Our hosts were a young couple that could do everything from Fly Fish, Boat, Gourmet Cook, and decorate a beautiful log cabin sporting lodge. Steve & Elizabeth are highly skilled, well educated and fun people.
