The White Oak Inn is a beautiful gem, tucked quietly in the outskirts of Amish country. Nestled against the woods at the bottom of the valley, it’s a wonderful getaway to unplug and relax. If you are looking for a personable little break from the world, the White Oak Inn is the place!

Yvonne, Ian, and Bentley (playful pup) warmly greet you as you check-in to their Bed and Breakfast. As they guide you to your room, you can feel their welcome and joy in meeting new guests. We booked the Red Bud Room with a fireplace and king-sized bed in the guest house. It was clean and well-prepared with kindling for a warm fire to keep you warm as you cozy up with a good book.

Breakfast is part of the package and it was delightful! I was grateful that we also reserved an additional dinner as Yvonne created such a wonderful dishes with Ian ensuring quality presentation of the meal. Delicious and comforting, dinner was perfect on the snowy night we spent. Conversation with our hosts and other guests provided delightful entertainment.

The website mentions there is a dog. However, he is very friendly and he will jump and play bite. He is quiet. I
I was greeted by him jumping on me, which was a bad 1st impression. I also forgave the innkeepers when it happened the 1st few times. After it continued a dozen more times, I was not happy about it. I wish there was some type of disclaimer on the website. I have nothing against well behaved dogs. I ordered the sweet dreams add on with my stay, I expected something that resembled the image online. Instead I got some cold slices of what appeared to be bundt cake (or brownie, no frosting small slices). I also had to take off a couple stars because DVD player in my room was not working properly (twice, 2 different players). The innkeeper did solve the problem as quick as she could. Perhaps in the warmer months there are more staff present. The website also says there are complimentary snacks and drinks always available 24/7....I saw none of that. The manual they provide on site says you can request coffee/tea(and lemonade, I believe), but snacks? My breakfast place setting (little blue rectangle) had several large crumbs on it from someone else when I sat down. Room was clean, you can hear people in the hall even when it's adults trying to be quiet. However that is understandable because it's an old house.

If you're looking for a quiet weekend in Amish Country, then book at The White Oak Inn! Beautiful home off the beaten path. The hosts are very inviting as they greet you at the door for your stay! They're very informative and have a lot of recommendations for places to visit or eat.
We stayed in the white oak room. A huge room on the first floor. There's a very comfortable king-sized bed & private bath. The bath features a huge jacuzzi tub. Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Homemade breakfast is included in the stay. You won't leave hungry or disappointed! Everything for breakfast was amazing! I highly suggest adding dinner at the Inn into your package! We did dinner at the inn on our 2nd night, and it was absolutely amazing! There's 2 options for the main courses. And if you have dietary restrictions, they're accommodating!
I highly recommend The White Oak Inn. We will definitely be back again in the future!

Where do I even start?
Amazing hosts! Stellar location! Delicious food! Clean accomodations!
It was really an amazing way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary & my husband's 40th birthday!
We were treated so well by Ian & Yvonne (spelling?) ! Ian was a little hesitant to chat with us at first but, we are both 6 ft tall & covered in tattoos, so I believe we were a little scary at first. He warmed up more to us and was chatting away with my husband by the end of it.
Yvonne is really the star here. She makes such yummy food & entertains you if your up for it or leaves you be when you aren't.
The room was very very clean. I felt very cozy the whole time we was there. It may not be completely up-to-date but there was some updated amenities.
The shower was very clean. The property was so cute & had so much wildlife.
We felt welcome and wanted.
I highly recommend anyone trying out The White Oak Inn. This will be a great memory I hold near to my heart.

The White Oak Inn was an absolute delight.

Yvonne and Ian and their dog Bentley welcomed us with not much fuss which I appreciated. We signed in around 4, discussed breakfast and Yvonne showed us to our room and left us to be.
We felt comfortable to roam the grounds and relax on the porch. The grounds are very well maintained and so beautiful. We had never been in the area before but the inn was easy to find. The location seems isolated enough but actually close to many stores and restaurants. We ate at the Alcove in mt Vernon for dinner which was great too, 30 min drive from inn.
We stayed in the White Oak room, we chose this room because of the jacuzzi tub. It was sooo nice and relaxing we used it twice in one night lol the robes provided are so cozy I almost slept in mine.
Breakfast was delicious. Yvonne gave choices us French toast or a GF torte or both. We chose the torte, fruit plate and 2 juices. The coffee was always full and creamer was provided. So yummy. Left the breakfast table full and happy.
Highly recommend staying here if you’re seeking a relaxing, proper bnb experience. It’s an inn obvious of care and full of heart. Thanks Yvonne, Ian and Bentley the dog! X

Went to Inn for my wife's 70th birthday. Selected one of the cabins and were going to tour Amish Country however my wife fell in love with the cabin and we stayed in the cabin most of the time. Had one dinner and two breakfasts at the Inn and they were fantastic. Other dinner we had at the The Alcove in Mount Vernon and it was superb. The innkeepers Yvonne and Ian were great as the other Guests as well. Will definitely be back!!

We spent a week in one of the cabins, and it was so lovely! The cabin was comfortable and homey, staff was attentive and nice, and the location was perfect (definitely rural, but an easy drive from several cute towns). The fireplace and supply of firewood were much appreciated, and we liked that they gave both a savory and a sweet option for breakfast every day. We also booked a massage, wine tour, and dinner through them, and all were great. If you want to disconnect for a while and relax in nature but still have the amenities of a hotel, this place is perfect.

FABULOUS place to stay! The owners are warm and inviting. The food is delicious: Yvonne prepared a beautiful fruits, chocolate and cheese board for us, breakfast included fresh out of the oven muffins and a made to order meal, and the dinner was incredible! There are special added touches everywhere. Our room was cozy and comfortable. I look forward to another visit!
