Found this place online and pic looks like a quaint house and website said they had food service but none of that was true. There are no rooms for rent in the old house, only in the back in a small cottage. I was told that the room was upstairs but NOT told of the steepness. There is no service, no desk, no room service and kitchen and large TV are downstairs in a living room. After one trip up the stairs decided needed another room but told there were none so we left, tired, hungry and drove to a large town and stayed at first motel we came too. Don't believe your eyes and buyer beware. I had to pay for 2 rooms that night.

We recently stayed one night there to attend an event nearby. The house is beautiful! We love the historical charm. The whole process was easy and communications from the owners/managers was wonderful. I was sad to see the restaurant closed as I know we would have loved it as well by its reviews.

My son had a summer internship in the area and we chose the Town House Inn for his long term stay. The accommodations were great! His room was very comfortable and clean and the kitchen had everything he needed to cook meals in the evenings for himself. The best part though, is Carol, the manager. She is truly amazing- so hospitable and always there to answer questions or provide recommendations. She treated my son like her own and we would definitely stay here again!

The Pitman Room was lovely. The restaurant was closed. I think we were the only ones in the whole house. The coffee station had plenty of k-cup coffees, nothing to stir creamer with. Seemed like a little while since someone re-stocked it. Not much in the area. Be allot better if the room had a mini-frig at least. There are only a few places to eat there. The front porch was wonderful to sit at in the evening and have a glass of wine. A friendly dog came and hung out with us on the porch. We enjoyed the peace. It's a great place if you want to get away and have some quiet time, read a book, take an epson salt bath in the claw foot tub. Close to Providence State Park (little grand canyon). Wonderful coffee shop within walking distance that has good sandwiches. Pizza place also walking distance as well as a country store all within or around the town square. For us it was exactly what we needed.

I ate my food before remembering to get a picture!! I had the squash casserole, boston butt, peas (not sure if they were field peas or black eyed peas. Tasted like field peas) and a fried chicken wing. Everything was very good! A little pricey for a restaurant in Buena Vista but we didn't mind because the food on the buffet was good and the service was the best! All in our party left satisfied and happy. I look forward to seafood Saturday buffet!!

We ate dinner at this beautifully restored old house and setting, and the service was top notch! Our server was extremely accommodating and cheerful, which is why I gave at least three stars. I only wish the quality of the food was sufficient enough to make up the difference. I had the pot roast, which is supposedly their “signature dish.” It was decent, but overcooked and very oily. Also it was supposed to be served with mashed potatoes and cornbread, but instead I got what appeared to be warm potato salad and cornbread waffles…odd choices for pairing with pot roast to say the least. 🤨 My wife got the pasta primavera, which was also okay, but nothing to write home about. On another positive note, the pimento cheese fritters we had as an appetizer were pretty good. Overall it was an okay experience, but I’m not sure we will be going back.

When we arrived at The Townhouse, our room door was unlocked. With help from another guest, we figured out that we didn't have a code to lock / enter the room. When I texted the owner, she immediately apologized and sent the code. Our room in the guesthouse was nice and the bed was very comfortable. However, the bathroom could fan was loud and needs to be replaced. The tub's shelves could use a good cleaning. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
