Stayed one night with a 17lb dog. The hotel used to be a Shiloh Inn, and is in the process of updating/construction. The room was obviously not an updated room as all the fixtures were dated. The bathroom was clean, but the overall age of the room definitely shows- toilet seat showed wear all the way through the white part, so there were brown marks visible on the seat. The caulking around the shower was old and showed extensive water damage. The laminate floor was warped and obviously water damaged. The heater for the room made awful noises all night & the filters were dirty. There are several areas of green space for walking the dog, all had piles of poo. Considering the $35/night plus tax pet fee, it was disappointing at best. No breakfast or frills included. In room coffee was awful. With only a few hotels in town, I made the best choice based on reviews- one hotel has reviews that complain about bugs, the other didn’t answer the phone. Better to stay in another nearby town and make the drive to Tillamook. Total cost with AAA discount & pet fee was a tad over $200. Definitely not a value, but there aren’t many choices.

Rachel was the lady at the front desk. She checked us in and give us recommendations of places to have dinner. They had three tanks of gelato‘s axolotl and turtles. And was a lady who checked us out in the morning and was very polite. However, the mattress left a lot to be desired. The mattress was made up of springs and gave me back pain in the morning. Additionally, there are no elevators with their best rooms are upstairs, which have just finished remodeling. They have replaced the carpets with the hardwood floors. When the restroom toilet was not flushing, they were quite responsive to fix the commode so that it flushes. It was not clogged. It was just the valve that allows the water to fill up. Jet was the maintenance gentleman who responded real fast. There is no black breakfast included in the stay, but we expected some hot coffee at least in the lobby, but they were undergoing renovation so that was also not available. However, there is a Starbucks nearby in a Burger King, where we have had croissants and full eggs with cheese.

This facility has been sold and is under major renovation. The front steps were partially blocked with building materials and few rooms were available. This fact was not mentioned when I called the Shilo office to make the reservation. The bare floors in room 116 were dirty. There were no hangers and those eventually supplied were very cheap plastic that would not hold heavy coats. The room heater had not been cleaned in who knows how long so was blowing out the accumulated dust, pollen etc, which caused congestion. We shut it off. The hand towels were threadbare and when we asked for clean ones after two days were told room service was only available with a 5 day stay. When it rained there was a constant drum beat outside the window of water running off the roof. There were no gutters. All this and the new owner charges the full amount for their rooms. On the positive side: The front desk staff were nice. The support staff unfriendly. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. It is a good location for shopping and visiting the two cheese factories. I’ve been a loyal, happy customer of Shilo Inn’s for 20+ years so this was a major disappointment. The new name for this facility will apparently be The Tillamook Inn

My boyfriend and I checked in very late the evening of the 28th, almost the morning of the 29th, and I didn't catch the name of the delightful lady who was working the desk, but she was so pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed the fish and axolotl tanks! The pool and sauna were closed, and part of the lobby is under construction, but it was hardly noticeable.
Our room was clean, the bed was definitely older but it was functional.
Location was good for what we were in town for.
Overall, a pleasant experience!

Currently under construction so the entry / awning is blocked with material. Pool / Fitness center seems to be the primary area they are working on. Apparently the pool will not be returning either. Also notified after reservation that breakfast wasn't happening due to other reasons.

Otherwise, it's a convenient location for the work I'm required to be here for. The room is large and has Amazon and Netflix accounts from previous guests on the Internet TV.

Overall, misses expectations due to the construction.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was huge. The axolotls in the lobby are cool. No breakfast options but there is a convenience store attached. Overall satisfied except for the noise from the room upstairs it was great.

No breakfast, lousy wifi, the hairdryer didn't work and I had to leave with long wer hair in 30 degree weather. The hot and cold water in the sink were reversed. I would not recommend it for the price.

I would not recommend at this time. Under construction.|They need signs to BE WUIET after 10, as walls are thin and they had a herd of elephants staying in the hotel until 1:30 in the morning.|Not horrible, but very moldy/ old smell.|Couldn’t find anything else last minute, so gave it a try.|Until they are remodeled, not worth the money.|Went up the coast the next day, and got spotlessly clean, beautiful place, for almost half of the rate.||I will say?, the staff was phenomenal, and did their best!|Wonderful people!
