This was our first visit and we were highly impressed. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The service was kind and attentive. The food was soooooo good. We started with the Brussels and they were delicious. I got a steak and my husband got the burger and fries. Even the fries were above caliber. The steak was cooked perfectly and the hamburger was great! We look forward to returning!

Came here for lunch with my kids. We were promptly greeted and seated. The food came out in about 15 minutes (maybe less than that) and was FANTASTIC! We got two burgers and the buffalo chicken wrap. The wrap had significant flavor and just a hint of spice, which was surprising. Emmanuel might have been the only server, but he was quick and courteous. Both of the burgers were hot, well-seasoned, and delicious. The vibe was very chill. If I lived closer, I would definitely come more often.

First time to Gainesville ever. Baseball tourney. This place was spot on. The food was amazing. The quality was like being in Buckhead. The filet was cooked to perfection. And the shrimp was fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a group of 6 Friday 10/4. Had to change the reservation twice due to group size changing and to start off with they were completely accommodating from the moment we walked in. It was service with a smile. The interior is what you would expect for a chophouse in town, but with extra fun hints of nature. The owner was extremely cordial and a true professional from the word go. Our server was extremely accommodating, went out of his way to make sure that he spoke to the kitchen about things that we may need or want to change because yes, we can be a real challenge at times and by we I mean I 😂 The food came out quickly. It was piping hot and extremely tasty. Wonderful touch at the end was the desserts! Probably one of the best Key lime pies I’ve had maybe with the exception of Joe Stone crab in Miami Beach, the crème brûlée was not overpowering with the sugar, and the chocolate cake, and I don’t really like chocolate that much, had a crunch which was unique and was delicious. The passion of Roland was obvious and the culture in the building was clearly something that has been thought through, discussed and curated over time. Bravo 👏 👏 Team Stag, we will be back!!

Two couples out to dinner to catch up. Waiter forgot to tell us they were out of a menu item until one of us ordered it. The tomato bisque was barely warm as was the chili. Upon advising the waiter, both were replaced and hot. Brussel Sprouts were flash fried then drizzled with hot honey and bacon. Very tasty but I would have preferred they be cooked a bit more as they were very crunchy. The rack of lamb was properly cooked and delicious. It would be nice to have liquor prices on the menu. Pours were very standard and in nice glassware. Service was attentive and professional. Will likely give them another chance but felt the need to share our experience with others.

All stars. Super attention to detail. A crispy, tall stack of onion rings came with my BL Fried green Tomato sandwich. My friend had a beautiful burger, stacked high with ingredients, one of which was a beef pattyground in-house. The staff was memorable in the best way and the restroom was bright and fresh .

Our Sunday lunch was the best! I had chicken risotto with mushrooms and asparagus—I have never had better. My husband had the cheeseburger and onion rings—he said it was the best he had ever had. Emanuel, our waiter, was attentive enough to make us feel special and well-served. It was nice to have a lovely tablecloth and an exquisite meal.
