Edit 22 Sept 2024:
Long-term business travel down the road at Yuma Proving Ground. Great spot! Owner (Frank) was super friendly, food was good, good brews on draft, out-of-the-way place.

I would recommend calling ahead to make sure Frank is operating. But it’ll be worth the drive!

Pros: Everyone was friendly, pulled pork was decent and the serving size was good.
Cons: Very limited menu, much less than we had seen online and other reviewers talked about which was what prompted us to make the drive. The meat only comes with one side which doesn’t really make it a meal when there’s no cornbread or Texas toast or anything. For the price (which was higher than the menu said), 2 sides seems much more appropriate. Our bill before the tip was $47 for 2 1 meat plates, one with only a salad and the other with fries and macaroni (extra) plus 2 pops.
Overall it was ok but nothing to go out of the way for and definitely not worth $47.

What a disappointment. We saw long lines at the food truck in Yuma and decided to visit the restaurant. We came in on a Sunday at noon. More seats were empty than full, they had a limited one page menu, and were informed by the little girl, who did a fine job waiting on us, that they were out of brisket and several sides, including beans, collard greens, and french fries.

Management should ask themselves how they can be out of sides and BBQ meat at opening on a weekend? I guess they don't have the smoker onsite or running daily? I suspect that's the case as the ribs seemed to be reheated or overcooked. The bones were soft and edible, if you like that.

The BBQ sauce was cold and poured all over the ribs. The sauce should be on the side so you can choose because good smoked meat should stand on its own. A better sauce can complement the meat without drowning it. The Mac n Cheese and slaw were good. The bacon in the breakfast bowl was undercooked.

They appeared to be short on staff, but managers were onsite talking to locals and not attending to details that could have prevented the problems we encountered.

They should probably stick to the food truck. We will definitely not be returning and would not recommend it.

I waited in line for about 2 hours at the Barbeque and Brew fest in Yuma and after that wait got ribs so bad they were inedible. They were undercooked, and a couple of them having no meat at all. They were charred, black and burnt, yet raw inside and with no flavor anyway. I understand if your stand became overwhelmed with people at the fest, but instead of turning people away, you charged us $90 for 3 meals that we threw away! Shame on you!!!!! If it hadn't been so late already, we would have returned the food but couldn't because after standing up for 2 hours waiting, we took the food and immediately went home (it was already 6pm by then). If I could give you negative stars I would.

We had a group of 25 plus people. The staff was super friendly and nice. The food was really good. They did their best to serve us all in a timely manner. Would go there again, and recommend it to others.

Ribs were cooked well and very tender. The sauce was terrible, it tasted like it was mostly corn syrup with a few spices and a drop or two of vinegar and tomato juice.
The brisket was very disappointing, tough and dry. And again, that useless sauce.
The potato salad was equally disappointing, the potatoes were undercooked and hard, the dressing was bland.
Over $60 US for two people with only one drink, a draft beer.
Not worth going back unless serious improvements are made to food quality

Went for late Sunday morning breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hash browns and biscuit. Food was good. Took a while to get our meal due to a large group that came in ahead of us. They apologized a couple times, but we were not in a hurry, and told them so. They are better known for their smoked meats, but our food was just fine, and what we wanted.
