Stopped for one night on a bicycle-tour. The day before arrival, the owner put me in the other of the two suites - so I was in the Chicago instead of the other one. It was beautiful, comfortable and had everything I needed (including laundry appliances). Long staircase to get up there with a bike, but it was all worth it, and I had a very comfortable night. It's right across from the courthouse and walking distance to everything in downtown Defiance.

Amazing space, and it would work for just about any party/gathering. Multiple bedrooms with lots of sleeping space, multiple bathrooms, easy access from the front and back, back elevated patio with space, the kitchen is very open and the position of it (the kitchen) between the dining and lounge/TV area adds great flow so you can hang out/talk with whoever whether you're at the table, couch, or fridge. I love going there every year for my family's Christmas party, no one has to host and we all love it 😊

This place is amazing. We held a bridal shower/bachelorette party here and the space was perfect! It's spacious, very clean, and there's so much seating for a party. The kitchen had so much space for all of the food/drinks we had. I would 10/10 recommend this space to anybody, for a party, meeting, or just a weekend getaway!

The Second Story is absolutely perfect for any occasion but this specific time we used it for a 30th Birthday Party. There was enough room plus some for everyone to comfortably hang out and the kitchen is a prime spot for food/beverage setup. Our friends and family could not get over the size and how beautifully it is decorated. The King and Queen Suite were both more than we bargained for. We cannot wait to make our return back to The Second Story!

Our group absolutely loved being here and plan to come back. We are a group of modern quilters in northwest Ohio and did a three night stay. Couldn't ask for better! Very relaxing, clean, nice....and breakfast was amazing!

Loved having a location where everyone could be together and hang out! It was a perfect spot from rehearsal dinner to brunch & presents on Sunday morning. I will for sure rent this space again should my other daughters choose to get married in Defiance.

This is the perfect place to gather with family and friends. The rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The kitchen and family areas were large and had everything you need to have a great time. My family loved it. Great place to stay.
