The aesthetics of this hotel are nice—especially the lobby and common areas. The rooms are nice, too, but a bit dark, as are the hallways. Our room was clean. It is also very loud, you can hear every word from the hallway and outside. Not very relaxing. The service, also, left much to be desired. We tried to order room service starting at 5pm (which they claim to “offer daily from 11am -10pm”). We called the room service line 3 times over the course of 20 minutes and they never answered. So, we called the front desk, who told us they would speak to a manager and get room service to contact us. No one contacted us after that. An hour later, I went to the front desk and was told my order would be put in immediately. It was not and I never received any order or follow up of any form. Very strange experience and not what one would expect at this price point. Will not return 😽

We had a lovely stay as a family travelling with two kids under 3. Pool area was fabulous - pools nicely heated and the kids loved swimming even in January! |Rooms and resort tastefully decorated. Restaurant lovely. Staff very friendly. Entire resort just a beautiful, well located and relaxing place. Check in easy, early check in was provided and very appreciated.|A couple of things that are not complaints but just for others to be aware of:|- while the room was not dirty, we did not find our room to be that “pristine clean” that you’d expect for a resort of this price range. We had small pockets of dust, minor scum build up in the bathrooms, some visible marks on walls. Fine for us, but some travellers would be bothered by this and it took away from the overall vibe of the place.|- free pack and plays provided but it did not have a soft mattress at all and we had to significantly pad it with extra sheets and blankets (which housekeeping kindly provided). Again, we also didn’t find it to be clean and there were food crumbs in it. |All in all, we’d stay again but only at the right price.

We enjoyed our stay. The lobby and bar and so fun and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly. The AC did not work each night. We reported it. They said they fixed it, but it still did not work the second night. We had it on cool 70 and woke up each night sweating. Besides this, we enjoyed our stay, we would stay again besides the air issues.

We chose The Scott Resort for our company party and booked Sunset Room and patio. The room was perfect, intimate with plenty of space to dance and socialize. The food was exceptional. It was located in an area near our tables, but in a beautiful space adjacent to our tables in a private area. The patio was perfect, partially enclosed by landscaping with plenty of heaters to keep us comfortable.
We enjoyed an amazing cocktail experience to kick off the night. I cannot express in words how incredible the staff was to work with. They were warm, always available, professional, and patient. They didn't overwhelm us, but were present and timely with all aspects of service.
In addition to the event, we booked rooms to extend the evening. The check in was flawless, rooms were clean and accommodating, and we even enjoyed the heated pool. It is hard to find a place that is so willing to give you the space and support to just enjoy yourself.
We have had an annual party for over a decade at many of the Old Town Scottsdale resorts. This resort made our entire experience one to remember and we are so happy we decided on the Scott! In the words of Arnold, we will be back!!!

Beautiful boutique property, you can tell a lot of thought went into all design details. Pool was refreshing, Canal Club, the restaurant, had something for everyone in our party, the staff was top- notch and the location of The Scott itself was perfect. We were within walking distance of nice shops and restaurants. Already looking forward to our next stay!

I cannot express how disappointed I am in this hotel. I always overlook long, poor reviews when the rest are good, but I beg you not to overlook this one if you are considering planning an event here.

I had my rehearsal dinner here as well as my wedding room block. I have severe food allergies and worked with Julie for months to make sure all food at my rehearsal dinner was safe for me to eat. On the night of the event, the chef came out after I expressed my concern that food looked like it had my allergens in it. He went down the buffet line with me and determined that the only thing I could eat was some chicken and some steak that were supposed to go inside of tacos. If I hadn’t double checked, I would’ve ended up in the hospital the night before my wedding. They said there was nothing I could do because the food was all “pre-made.” I sent them an email to let them know immediately and Julie called me to (what felt like) argue with me about what we had agreed on. We paid for upgrades to food items in the package we selected for the sole purpose of me being able to eat it and I couldn’t. They also promised an allergy friendly dessert that was simply not there. They left our bar open for an additional hour that night which was nice, but that didn’t even begin to cover how bad our experience was.

On top of this, we had asked for champagne on ice to be delivered to our room on the night of the wedding. When we came back after our wedding, our room HADN’T EVEN BEEN CLEANED and there was no champagne, which we were willing to pay for. Julie and Avis have done the bare minimum to resolve the issue and when I asked for more, they ended up giving me a whopping $296 refund when we had agreed on half-off our room for wedding night which was $750, 10% overage fee to be refunded, as well as 10% refund on our banquet order. It has taken 2 months to communicate about resolving the issue and not to mention they “accidentally” auto charged me even more in the process and didn’t realize until I told them. Don’t bother planning your event here.

Stayed here while staying in Scottsdale to hike camelback. The front desk girl wasn’t the warmest on check in but the ambiance of the hotel made up for that. We wish the outdoor bar had been open for pool service but we just ordered drinks and food at the inside bar, no problem. Very nice bar staff. Loved the pool. Beautiful boutique hotel. We didn’t realize the room wasn’t cooling until the middle of the night when it was still 73*… I did ask the front desk the next day and she said that they could have adjusted it for us, but 73* seems hot to sleep, at least for us. So ask to have your room temp adjusted if you like to sleep with it cooler than 73*. We set it to 69* but it just remained at 73*. I would definitely stay here again now that I know that we can adjust the temperature. Pool, room, bar, etc were great! Loved Pressed coffee - walk there in the morning.

I recently stayed at this hotel while in town to give a keynote at a conference, and I hadn’t even looked it up beforehand due to a whirlwind of back-to-back travel. My flight to Phoenix was delayed, so I arrived at the hotel at 1 a.m., completely drained. But the moment I stepped out of the cab, everything changed. The entrance alone was captivating, and the lobby, with its stunning artwork, instantly revived my spirit. I knew right then that I would be extending my stay—and I did, that very night.||The service here is truly something special—genuine, thoughtful, and attentive. Every detail of the hotel feels intentional and welcoming, from the perfectly placed hammocks to the soothing sound of waterfalls that create the most relaxing ambiance. The hotel is filled with cozy little hideaways, perfect for unwinding, and the décor feels like a warm, stylish home away from home.||The most remarkable touch? The artwork throughout the hotel is created by the owner, Rose. It adds such a personal, intimate layer to the experience, knowing that the same person running this exceptional business is also shaping its look and feel. I ended up extending my stay by three days, completely captivated by this magical place. The only downside? You might not want to leave the hotel to explore Phoenix! I can’t recommend this gem enough.
