Let me say that as soon as you open the door your blow away. We stayed in the diamond suite which was amazing. The bathroom was amazing. Who knew you can have a 5 star hotel experience in a small town. Yes the mining is fun and great but this place is a gem on its own. The private garden they provide gives you the comfort of home and they provide basically everything you need in not they are a ring or message away. This is a great getaway for couples for sure. They give you so much info and the tips. Mind you they also let you borrow their own equipment for mining as long as you return them. Tv has every streaming app which was a plus but the decor inside will amaze anyone The only disappointment was we didn’t stay longer. Let me say we will be back. The price is right the comfort and hospitality is beyond more than anyone would expect. This place is a hidden gem. This has been a phenomenal experience and the cats outside are sweethearts and friendly. Town is quiet and friendly and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the best things in life like this place. We were left speechless

The Rockhound is a gem in every sense! The rooms are immaculately clean, and the beds are comfortable, making for a restful stay. The rooms have a beautiful charm and attention to detail even in the bathroom tile. The AC and heater were easy to use, with a remote so our room stayed at just the right temperature.

Being our first time to hunt for crystals we appreciated the thoughtfulness of the tools you can borrow for hunting. And upon our return the hotel has designed a perfect rock washing station, with hose and cleaning implements perfect for cleaning up crystals after a day of exploring.

Overall, the Rockhound delivered comfort, convenience, and unique charm. Highly recommend for Crystal hunters and travelers alike!

Reserved 3 weeks out and it was very easy to find. The room and bathroom were SPOTLESS and PRISTINE! My wife loved it. Back yard with a firepit and tools to take to dig crystals with (no need to buy any tools), When in the area, we will be back!

Spectacular room. Every detail thought of. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Nicest owner we ever met. Close to crystal mines. Crystal washing station in the yard and tools to borrow. Walking distance to a great Mexican restaurant. Looking forward to going back to the Rockhound Boutique Hotel!

It’s not a 5 star place. It’s a 6 STAR review rating. Seriously. This is 100-year-old building that was renovated and no detail went unnoticed from the mirrors. The mirror frame, the flooring, the lamps the dishes, light switches, the faucets the sink. Everything was done with extreme detail and attention focused on the historic value of the place with a modern flare. If we had no other reason to come back to Arkansas, we would just to stay here. We definitely will make this a mandatory stop when driving to Texas from east coast. Oh, did I mention the soaking tub. Oh my God it was fantastic. Plenty of hot water to fill the tub up and one could fall asleep in the tub with the homemade bath bombs with a cute little duckie in the middle.

A MUST STAY and Experience this place if visiting Mt. Ida.

Our family stayed for two nights in the Crystal Suite. The room was beautiful and we loved the thoughtful little touches (they even left little Halloween treat bags for our kids). Mount Ida is the perfect location to stay for rockhounding… We will definitely be back!

If in Mount Ida to dig for crystals stay at the Rockhound. This is a small 2-3 room hotel that is fantastic all around. We stayed in the room that had queen bunks and a large sectional couch. The room is very large with a huge bathroom. The room is decorated with style with no detail left out. The room has an electric fireplace, fridge, microwave and hot water kettle along with spoons and glasses. The place has a fenced in side yard with fire pit, seating as well as a crystal rock cleaning station. Also has digging tools to borrow. Last but not least if you are a cat lover, there are rescue cats that hang around the side yard that are yours to adopt. Located off the main square of this small town, walking distance to 2-3 restaurants. 10 minute drive to all the best crystal mines. Only warning, if you are a wine drinker, bring your own. It’s a dry county.
