I celebrated my early birthday today with friends at the Rockaway Hotel Pool House, and it was nothing short of fabulous! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, luxurious, and so much fun - exactly the vibe I was looking for.

A huge thank you to Alina, the Guest Services Manager, who went above and beyond to help coordinate and arrange our private cabana. She made the booking process seamless and ensured every detail was taken care of so we could simply show up and enjoy ourselves.

Our server, Diana, was phenomenal - attentive, kind, and on point with every request. She kept the energy light and the drinks flowing, and truly made us feel taken care of.

The poolside atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxing, the space beautifully designed, and the food and cocktails were delicious. It was the perfect setting to kick off Cancer season and toast to another trip around the sun 💕🌊☀️

Thank you to the Rockaway Hotel team for making this day feel so special - I’ll definitely be back!

The Pool House at the Rockaway Hotel is truly a gem! From the moment you step in, you are greeted by stunning decorations that create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The beautiful aesthetic is complemented perfectly by a great selection of music that enhances the overall experience, making it a delightful spot to relax or celebrate!

Our day didn’t start as smoothly as we had hoped. Upon arrival, we encountered a bit of a hiccup when one of our chairs was taken due to their first-come, first-serve policy. However, my birthday celebration got better thanks to the incredible service we received from Mr. Tom. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. His undivided attention and thoughtfulness transformed our experience into something truly special.

The food and drinks were fantastic, easily deserving a solid 10/10. Each bite was a delight, and the refreshing cocktails perfectly complemented the sunny day by the pool.

Despite a rocky start, The Pool House turned into an excellent outing thanks to the beautiful ambiance, fantastic food, and outstanding service from Mr. Tom. I can’t wait to return for another day of relaxation and enjoyment!

This place is....fine. In the strongest sense of the word. The food is what you expect. It's proximity to the pool is nice if you wanna grab a quick bite. But holy cow the service leaves something to be desired. Ask for anything: syrup for your dry pancakes, an extra napkin, the check, you're credit card back after trying to pay your check, and it takes a minimum 25 minutes. We were one of three tables in the entire restaurant.

Took around 15 minutes to even be seen by anyone despite sitting in the middle of the patio seen by several workers. Also waited about 10 minutes for water to be returned until the busboy brought it after asking again. Food was fine but $20 for a burger and still hungry is annoying. The only person who really helped was a busboy who was great.

I wish I could love it. Because the service was great and the food not terrible. But the DJ played so loud that we couldn't read or talk. It's clearly catered to a party audience, which we didn't expect. We came for a relaxing weekend to wind down from work. That didn't happen. Also many of the orders come in single use plastic cups or with plastic silverware. Which doesn't feel classy and shouldn't happen at all at a beach hotel.

The Pool House is located in the lobby of the Rockaway Hotel which is the only one of its kind in the Rockaways.

I like what they are doing, but it’s quite obvious they don’t have a professional chef and plating has not been fully thought out. I had the eggs on toast - it wasn’t even worth taking a picture of. What looks like 4 scrambled eggs on a slice of toast with a handful of bacon served in a shallow salad bowl. Seriously, this kind of plating will turn off your customers. My son had the Açaí Bowl - this was perfectly served however the only Açaí Berry was the flavor in the yogurt. My son called it a yogurt parfait. This place is lacking creativity in its brunch department.

Now for the good stuff - There is valet parking offered however we found street parking and didn’t need to take advantage of the valet. Both of the maître d’s were perfect at what they do - pleasant, extended friendly gestures and work to get us a table that was pleasing for our called in reservation. The Pool House has a beautiful, full stocked, open-air bar. The music for Sunday brunch was on point, a bit of Caribbean flare which works well with the beachy atmosphere. Our waiter was not warm and friendly but we have a number of employees, which includes an older gentleman who stopped at our table to make sure that everything was ok.

Why would I return, if one may ask. It’s simple - I wouldn’t mind trying dishes from their lunch and dinner menu and I would definitely like to take advantage of the bar and enjoying that beachy atmosphere. When someone decides to create something this nice for the public to enjoy, it’s the public’s responsibility to support and keep it alive. That’s an obligation I impose on myself, hoping they will improve as the summer season 2021 ages.

Sadly I can not give this restaurant a 4 star because of the quality and plating of the food I received. Good luck to the owners and I shall be back.

I've been 3 times this year using the pool day pass. Food is delicious, drinks can be a hit or miss, some much better than others. Reasonable prices and the service is always great. They have outdoor showers to wash off and a bathroom you can use to change if having dinner or going to their roof top bar. I personally prefer the winter set up and menu but either summer or winter are both enjoyable.

On Monday 8/25 my family and I spent a day renting a cabana. We had a wonderful time! Our waiter Andrew was excellent and we did not want for anything ! The food was perfect for poolside bites! We do this a few times a year because it is so perfect for a great day! And close to home!

absolutely phenomenal experience. servers are sharp. bartenders are exquisite. the manager, sean, is wonderful. i most likely drank 26 blackberry spritzes in a 6 hour span during my stay at the poolhouse… WORTH IT

I had THE BEST day here! We were treated like family with amazing service. This place has it all - delicious food and fabulous drinks, incredible pool side areas to lounge, and a fantastic crew providing a dream of an experience. Sean, Julianna, Sophie, Isabella, Rob, & Dom are THE BEST!! The internal hotel staff were lovely as well!
