I went with my family to get away from the Phoenix heat and stumbled upon this welcoming motel. Once entered, the aura of the office was inviting and I instantly felt comfortable. The rooms were newly renovated, but with a hint of ancestry. They accommodated with my family nicely and provided room service while we were out exploring. The cherry on top was how affordable the rooms were. Family loved it and will be back!

Room have been updated and are very clean. Quiet location in a great part of town. No concerns with my stay at all. Definitely recommend for someone not trying to blow the budget and have a nice place to stay.

The staff was friendly but the service they gave poor and the up keep of the place is sad. First when we got there, they tried to charge us more. Receptionist said they had just increased prices that day,... we had to be firm that we expected to pay what was on our reservation. So they gave me a refund (it later showed up as an additional charge!)||Once in our room, yes it was clean, but we did not have a microwave or mini frig as described, however since I had just had issues with the price of room checking in I left it at that.||The towels we had were clean but in such BAD shape I would have considered them rags or maybe sued them to wash my dog. They were torn and beat.||The noise for the traffic going by was hard to ignore - that is not managements fault, but it makes it hard to sleep. I wish we would have had a room in the back instead.||Next year when we go back on our yearly trip we will look for a different place to stay.

I had rented the same room the previous year and was looking forward to staying again.
Sadly, despite reserving the room a week in advance, the day we got there and were getting different routes from Mapquest, no one answered the phone for half an hour. They apparently took off to Walmart at 3pm, after finding our way, other people staying there put us in contact with the owners that asked us to wait 20 minutes for them to return.
When ready for bed our pullout couch had no blankets or pillows . I had to call the office and mentioned I made reservations for 4 people for two nights, not sure how they expected us all to fit on one bed or for two kids to sleep on a pullout with zero blankets or pillows.
They also posted a note asking everyone to wash dishes or would be charged $10 but had no soap or sponge .Not even paper towels. The owner brought soap along with bed covers but said I could get a sponge myself and take it home if I wanted.
Half of the bedroom lights were out and the one next to the bed was completely gone.
We had to ask for a trash bag since they only supplied one.
There were no apologies for lack of bedding or waiting for them so we could check in. Had I known they sometimes take off during normal business hours to go shopping , may not answer the phone or provide any of bedding unless requested, I would’ve just checked in somewhere else.
I was very disappointed in my stay.

I give it a 4 or 4.5. The Pinetop Lodge is no longer a lodge/motel. The new owners have completely remodeled every single unit. Everything is new inside. They are now called Pinetop Apartments. The owners are very nice. Oh, by the way, my wife and I live here. We're happy. They're clean, newly remodeled and it's so nice and quiet. We just recently (2 weeks) ago, moved in.

I came to visit family from Mesa and came across this motel, it was a bit pricey for a small motel but I decided to stay. I stayed in the room closest to the office and as soon as I entered the room it smelled of sex and booze. There was a stain on the sheets, the bathroom towels looked as of they got it from a cheap thrift store and smelled of cigarettes. I was about to turn in for the night until I saw a dark spot on the pillow moving and realized it was a giant bed bug, I tried getting a refund but only got $20 back. I would give zero stars of I could. Please do not stay here.

Stayed two nights. They currently went through remodeling of rooms that were nice and clean. They also had friendly staff!! Would recommend to anyone who would like to stay in an nice affordable hotel! Also Free Wi-Fi!
