I’m writing an updated review as a current Palms Resident. What we love, the community. During the pandemic we bought a home here because it felt like the only place that had some level of normalcy in California. The park is always very clean and the management does work tirelessly to keep the park in working order. They plan community events around the holidays that include poker runs and bingo. There is a store that is well stocked with most everything you needed, that includes a little coffee shop. What we wish was different or better? The beach is probably the biggest complaint for the majority of the park residents. We watched the park owner built a monstrosity of a home for years, while our rents went up, and no real improvements are being made to the park, given they are building even more homes. Many of us can’t use our carports properly for boat parking because it’s too tight to make certain turns safely, and the “boat parking” is always full other than a dirt lot at the very top near their red barn. At the same time, other people are visiting from the other park owned by the Palms in Ehrenburg, Arizona. They are telling us of all of the massive improvements happening there, which includes a HUGE beach and there are talks of an infinity pool coming. Our friends said the Palms in Needles is no where near as nice as what they have at the other Palms in AZ. That’s seriously disappointing! Many people we know are selling their homes to find something else. Right now, it feels like half of the community homes are for sale. Even if we want to sell ours, we would be in a line of a million other home owners waiting to offload their home. With as many people selling and the current state of the economy, that’s not happening anytime soon. Suggestion to the park? You could sell more homes and keep your residents by attempting to spend some money and make obvious improvements, not just for the park owners personal home that we all stare at wondering where our money is going…

I'm a current renter of their storage area. Over Memorial weekend the manager there confronted me at the gate while I was searching for my remote to enter. She was very harsh and kept telling me I couldn't be there and the pool was closed she finally drove away yelling that I couldn't be inside without a remote. I found my remote and had used the bathroom when she returned. I was sitting in my car looking for my phone. She locked the pool gate then came to my car window and told me the pool was closed 2 more times which I told her I wasn't using the pool. She told me the entire area was closed and I was not to be there. At this point I noticed she appeared to be drunk. I asked her if this was so she claimed she didnt drink. I asked her why was she harassing me a customer of the place. She denied this and sat in her golf cart watching me. I found my lost phone and parked in front of my trailor in which she followed me and sat and watched again. At this point I was to intimidated to go to my trailor and I stayed in my car. She finally left. This was uncalled for treatment and especially to do this while she was drunk. All night long a loud party went on I finally fell asleep around 3am which this party continued late into the following day and night. I find it strange her over concern with me yet allowed a loud party to go on. I don't think she has been there long but her actions were unprofessional. Im looking into taking my trailer else where. This park has always been a well kept park and the noise level was always reserved. Customers are no longer treated well and allnight parties are allowed.
Unhappy storage customer

We love this place! The people are what make it special. It’s like a family here, better even. Lots of snowbirds like me return year after year. There are lots of community activities and the the facilitators do a fabulous job. Everyday there is something fun going on. The positives far outweigh the negatives here, but the negatives are the pool is fabulous but not heated so no one gets to swim in winter, also be prepared for an outrageous electric bill that will be over 3 times your regular bill.

This was our second time staying here. The park is well maintained and has rv sites and camps. All are very well taken care of. The pool and hot tub are resort quality, with a snack bar and work out room just off the deck. The Colorado river is beautiful and has a place for swimming and a boat launch. Our site was large and easy to get in and out of. I wish we could have stayed more than one night!

We store our boat here since we primarily use it at Lake Mojave whenever we get a chance in the summer. Very reasonable and well maintained storage facilities. We like that no matter what time of day (or night) we are ready to pick up our boat we have safe and secure access to it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. My kids love the pool and the rest area is always clean. We just stop by on our way in from the L.A. area to pick it up, and drop it off on the way out! We can even leave straight from the lake since there are showers, a pool and picnic area for storage customers too!!! 😊

Stayed 3 nights. Was a great midwayish point . We did stay on week days and out of school holidays. Travelling with 4 kids under 12 so was a welcome stop with resort style pool complex. Had it all to ourselves mostly to rest after Yosemite ,LV and GC sightseeing. Had a great games room and fitness room. Yes, there are only one set of toilets and shower block at the pool area but we were self contained in the RV so was no big deal. Pool was maybe 50 metres from our site and the river maybe another 100. Not much to see there though.|Just one word of caution. They had a few snakes caught around the time we were there and being from New Zealand it was a bit of a thrill when we actually saw one but also as a parent a bit nervous. You just have to use your common sense and not walk around at night(which is when they were around) and if you do, make sure you use bright torches and keep an eye out. Had a great stay, but could possibly be different a different story on the weekends?

My family and I stayed in bungalow 59 A. There is one bedroom and a pull-out bed. Since it was my wife and my daughter we thought the one bedroom would suffice for our sleeping arrangements. Unfortunately the pull out bed's frame was broken and dropped at a significant angle. The mattress was so thin, it caused the springs to poke through and stab her. The rest of the bungalow was old and outdated and the table on the patio was very dirty.

For the amount we were charged, we should have been provided with the accommodations that was advertised and expected, but we did not get that. I requested some sort of refund but after calling four or five times with only one call back while I was working and no emails back I figured it was a lost cause.
