The room was spacious and well-appointed. Check in was easy and the owners were responsive. Many nice “touches” from the coffee bar outside the rooms to the upscale toiletries provided. The bed was very comfortable. The McKey is located in a quaint area of downtown. While there weren’t a ton of restaurants available, there were some and for me the lovely accommodations outweighed that. Great value.

Obsessed with this very unique hotel!!!! It’s felt like an Airbnb married a hotel. The accommodations were impeccable. The communication felt like being welcomed home. The bed was so comfy I did not want to get out of it to start my day. Once I did get up, I stepped outside my room to make myself a yummy cup of coffee and a glass of ice water. There is also a fridge and microwave in the hallway. The shower, and the luxurious toiletries, felt like I was in Europe. The view from my room faced a square that was lit up at night. Pretty dreamy! If you forgot to bring a toothbrush, razor, make up remover they have it readily available. You don’t even have to ask anyone for it. It was on the shelf in the hallway. I would one million percent recommend The McCey for anyone traveling to, or through, Valdosta, GA. I love unique vs chain hotels. This was special.

We went on a short 3-day trip to Valdosta. Our room was the S & K Suite on the fourth floor. It was a corner suite with multiple windows and wonderful views of downtown. The bathroom was the largest I'd ever seen with huge tub and separate shower. On-street parking was easy and free. Everything was walkable. Coffee shops, dining, and shopping all around the hotel. The only reason for 4 stars is the hotel is on busy street and it can get a little noisy at times. I would stay again.

The Good - We had a lovely suite with a view of the Town Hall. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. There is a coffee shop on the first floor where you can grab a quick breakfast or snack. ||The Not so Good - This is an old restored office building. They did a good job but there is a lot more to do. The ceilings are very high and there is almost no carpeting so you can hear everything that goes on, no matter where you are. It's more of an AirBnB because if there's a problem, there isn't really anyone who can fix it right away. ||The Ugly - The train and the traffic! Forget about sleeping at night. Tractor trailers drive down the street all night and the trains go by and blast their horn. If you're thinking "it can't be that bad", trust me, it's worse.

The room was rather clean except for the dusty ceiling fan blades and the window moulding's cracking, peeling paint. Access was easy. Parking was not an issue. Excellent food was only a short walk away. The bed was comfy, the soaking tub a delight, the TV program viewing options grand. But the noise, holy moly! A door on the roof of an adjacent building was swinging in the breeze, creaking all night long, accompanied by intermittent rumbles from loud mufflers and exhaust pipes. And then there was the child, "Cloe," whose parents talked almost as loudly as she yowled and hooted. My wife and I know more about that family now than we had ever cared to learn because we happened to share a common wall with their suite. As noisy as it already was, however, the pièce de résistance was when the sonorous train horn blast came around 6am, then again at 8:15am. Due to the McKey's close proximity to the train tracks, the horn is unavoidable. This is a lovely space but it is noisy. Would we stay again? Sure. We would, however, ask for the quietest suite in the house. The outside noise is simply beyond the hotel's control, it's an incurable external obsolescence.

Awesome space in the heart of Valdosta, GA. Modern design in the midst of downtown being revitalized. Great view from the 3rd floor and parking and elevator to accommodations. Looks great, feels great super comfortable and convenient! Would absolutely stay here again! And the coffee shop downstairs is perfect!

So hard to wrap your arms around. The good: super comfy bed, unique experience, good breakfast available on the 1st floor we liked staying here. Parking directly across the street in front of courthouse. The quirky: get a room in the back off the street (street VERY noisy/loud), elevator is a tad slow, this is a 100% DIY place - no desk, no staff etc, you get a passcode and the rest is up to you. The not so good: Valdosta doesn't have much to do, more of a convenient stop along our way to FL. A few good restaurants but some are closed on Sunday. And the TV doesn't seem to work at all. If you love modern full-service hotels this isn't for you. If you like trying something a little different in a place that is a little different then you'll like it.

Wow. A little taste of Soho. So unexpected. My daughters and I spent 3 amazing days in the Lady Liberty Room. Absolutely gorgeous experience. The kind of stay where you can take a bubble bath. Don't hesitate. El Paso's is a walk around the corner and a must too! Thank you both for such a warm and comfortable stay.
