The staff is nice, and that's where it pretty much stops. The walls are paper thin and the door offers no sound insulation. I can hear a conversation down the hallway word for word at normal conversational volume levels, or through the walls if someone is speaking in the next room over. That also means anyone can hear me when I'm on a call, etc. in the room.

I was woken up at 4am, etc. due to people walking by, chatting, or inebriated individuals having conversations in the hallway at all hours of the night. Granted this isn't the hotel's fault, but the lack of sound proofing is.

The rooms are very outdated, and for the price I didn't expect too much. The door leading outside let in cold air and was quite drafty, too. The bed was also a bit squeaky, and the mattresses left a lot to be desired.

Also, the wifi. It's so slow that I couldn't even have a functional Zoom call. I'm not asking for ultra high speeds, but even basic Internet tasks were proving to be quite the challenge. Any Starbucks I've ever been to greatly outperformed this.

Overall, I'd recommend to anyone to not stay here. Be it for the lack of peace, the poor connectivity, the actual room experience, or something else.

As I mentioned, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the lake is also quite nice, but it doesn't even begin to make up for the other issues I encountered.

An old hotel that hasn’t been updated in my opinion.

Stayed for business, 3 nights. The room design has so much wasted space, and the sheets felt like sandpaper. The bathroom had no shelving or ledges- just one towel hook. Our headboard was repaired at some point using sheet rock screws that stuck out of the wood- didn’t bother counter sinking them. Or use the right screws. The coffee pot was filthy - brown gunk came out of it when we tried to heat water because there’s no microwave in the room (or freezer in the mini fridge).

Tried going to the bar to get a drink at 9:02, closes at 10:00, but they closed it early because “no one was there”.

The staff was nice, what little I did interact with them but the lobby is small, very small. Pictures online made it look like a great room and it’s not.

Won’t ever stay there again, much nicer accommodations for the price in the area. The ONLY nice thing about the hotel was the outside patio and view of the lake.

Rebecca at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly! The rooms were nice and very comfortable. We also ate at the restaurant. It was a little pricey but very good. We also spent time by the fire pits in the patio and overall a very nice hotel.

If you’re staying here for a wedding or event at the McCormick Ranch, just don’t. The venue is about 1/2 mile away and there is no transportation provided. If you’re going to have to drive or uber you might as well stay somewhere nicer. There’s a pool but no hot tub. Overall not worth the money.

We went originally planning on staying for 7 days. Once we were in Arizona we loved it so much we extended our trip twice to end up staying almost 3 weeks. Cassie, the Operations Manager was absolutely fantastic to work with extending our stay and even got us into a larger room when our daughter decided to come for part of our vacation. The entire staff at the Scottsdale location from front desk, restaurant to house keeping was exceptional! Also one of the cleanest hotels inside and out that I have ever stayed at. Highly recommend any to book here! Thank you McCormick Scottsdale for an amazing and relaxing vacation! And a personal thanks to Cassie, Kate and Terry!!! See you next winter! 😊

My girlfriend and I visited from Vancouver for the Waste Management, the hotel staff treated us so so well the entire time. I want to give a shout out to Ryann at the restaurant for the absolutely perfect experience. She’s the sweetest person and couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you so much Ryann and everyone else we met, we will be back next year.

I’m giving it 4 stars based on the cost to product ratio. The price is very low, and it’s seen with the older rooms. But it’s still a great place for the price. Clean, the front desk young lady is great and it’s near the man made lake so you can kayak or paddle boat for free.

I assure you, you can do better than this hotel. Rooms are dumpy. Doors don't close all the way. Hallways stink like rotten eggs. No ADA accommodations at the front entrance. Oblivious staff. Mile-long hallways to navigate with all your bags and no help from staff. Fully INSANELY EXPENSIVE PET FEE and no pet-friendly amenities to even give you the illusion of value for your money. I have worked in hospitality for the last 15 years and I can tell you every single aspect of this hotel, from its website, to its rooms, to its communications and staff interactions are giving it about 20% effort. Just go somewhere else.
