This property is all it's represented to be. Charming and upscale in an area of ho-hum hotels. We stayed in the Southern Charm Room. Other than some train sounds, it was very quiet. Very comfortable accommodations and attentive hosts. Highly recommend if overnighting in Jesup.

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Mallord Arms Inn! Our trip to Jesup, GA, was a last-minute decision to let our kids experience snow, and we were lucky to find this gem when options were scarce due to the winter storm. From start to finish, everything about our experience was wonderful.

The inn is absolutely charming, with beautiful decor and so many thoughtful details that make it feel warm and inviting. We booked two rooms for our family, and they were spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. Traveling with small kids and their grandfather can be a challenge, but this place felt like a home away from home.

We arrived after midnight due to weather delays, and the self-check-in process was quick and easy—such a lifesaver! The location is perfect, within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants, and we appreciated the coffee, snacks, and refreshments provided. It was such a thoughtful touch that everyone in our family enjoyed.

The customer service was top-notch, with the owner going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can really feel the care and effort that goes into running this inn.

We’re already looking forward to staying here again—whether it’s for another snow chase or just to enjoy this cozy, welcoming spot. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Jesup!

Definitely a hidden gem in Jesup. Loved the historic building and renovation. We have needed to stay in Jesup multiple times over the years and nice accommodations are very lacking. Would definitely stay here again.

I was coming to Jesup for a Celebration of Life and I wanted to take Amtrak. I came across The Mallard Arms Inn which is a 5 minute walk from the train station. I booked a room and eventually both of my sisters, my brother and my two oldest daughters booked rooms. The common area was perfect for us to share time together as a family. The snacks and drinks were a big plus. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. You do have to take stairs to the second floor but the stairs are not steep. You will also hear trains but we were not bothered by them. I highly recommend The Mallard Arms Inn.

My husband travels to Jesup for work several times a month and loves the Mallard Inn. He often comments on the charm and beautiful rooms. Customer service is always super helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and updated and modern. Perfect place to stay if someone is traveling in this area. He will return soon. So sad to feel the need to share this. My wife and I had planned a relaxing and fun trip from Florida to Virginia to visit my wife’s 90 year old mother, staying at 4 quaint Inns along the way. Our first stop was to be the Mallard Arms Inn. Our plans changed abruptly the day before we were to originally leave, when my wife’s Mom went in the hospital and her brothers called to say we need to get up there right away, and they’d leave her on life support until we could get there in hopes of seeing her before she passed. We called the 4 Inns and a fishing guide we had booked for the original trip. 3 hotels and the guide were very compassionate and canceled our plans with caring words and no financial loss for us, even though one had a policy of no refunds inside 30 days. The Mallard was a different story. We had to text only, and our request for a refund was denied, with the texter saying they would allow us to rebook within 90 days, and closing with “have a blessed day”, with some uncomfortable smiley faces mixed in the threads. We then texted back that all we could find on their website for a cancellation policy was, and I quote “If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, there is a $25 cancellation fee”. They replied yes we are correct about the $25, but attached another cancellation policy that we never could find on their website. This additional new to us policy stated; 48 hours notice - 50% room rate loss, 24 hours - full rate charged. We replied that we were not able to find that schedule on their website, which they never responded to. With our frazzled mindset we just wanted to finalize the cancellation and not argue over not seeing that policy, but did say that “it seems as if we would qualify for the over 24 hour rate”, since this was early Saturday morning and we were not to arrive until Sunday mid-afternoon. The texter replied, “Yes Maam, I will credit you half. Just so you know for everyone else on the planet if it’s the day before it’s the full rack rate.” We go through that area a few times a year and would have loved to have stayed at the Mallard in the future, if they would have given us a longer credit window or just taken the $25 that was posted. I would recommend they prominently post the full cancellation policy they texted us on their website, and change the $25 policy on their check-out page. Yes they got 50% of a room rate from us, but they left such a bad feeling for us that it prompted this negative review and we will not be able to feel very good about trying them again in the future. They could have earned a full room rate and happy repeat customers, like we plan to be with the other three compassionate Inns who actually did “bless our day”.

I came across this Inn since I had to evacuate Florida due to Milton. It is very cute and clean. The rooms are small but the beds are comfy and the bathroom is nice as well. There are several places within walking distance which has been nice. Everything has been great so far!

Safe, clean rooms; comfortable beds and linens; excellent service; easy and secure check in; comman area ideal with coffee, snacks, and fruit provided. Owner very attentive to guests' needs. I would highly recommend, and our family would definitely stay again in the future.
