I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel during a weekend stay with my Masonic lodge. We rented several rooms, and unfortunately, the condition of the hotel was subpar. I stayed in Room 305, and the bathroom had mildew, there was no room service, and the shower curtain was stained yellow at the bottom. I brought these issues up to the front desk, and while the staff member apologized, nothing was done to address the problems.

We also needed to print about 40 pages for our meeting, but the front desk was initially hesitant to provide enough paper. After offering to reimburse them for what we used, they suddenly provided the paper, but the interaction was frustrating.

The staff's attitude towards us and our guests was unacceptable. We rented a boat to enjoy the lake and asked for towels because it started raining. The staff was rude and insisted there would be a charge if we didn't return the towels. Additionally, one of our guests decided to cancel their boat ride due to the weather and asked if we could use the meeting space to eat and relax since we had all just checked out. We were met by a man who claimed to be a former GM. He rudely told us that we could only use the space if we rented it, otherwise, we had to leave, despite the hotel being nearly empty.

Overall, this was a terrible experience, and I will not be returning or have any more workshops here. If you're looking for clean rooms, good customer service, and a pleasant experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Save your moneyβ€”this hotel does not meet basic expectations.

Although the hotel could use some updating the staff is wonderful and made for a very pleasant stay in a beautiful Area. Laura especially went above and beyond during my visit in March of 2025. If this hotel made a few upgrades and holds on to people like Laura they would get way more 5 star reviews

Staying here while helping with disater relief, so just wanted a hot shower and place to sleep. Overpriced outdated rooms. No water 2 mornings in a row, and the fire alarm randomly going off at 3 am causing everyone to evacuate for hours, which by the reaction of the staff, seems to happen often. No manager on site while we stayed. Left multiple messages with the front desk to speak with the manager (Shawn Kosloff), but no response.

I went there to get away from the remains of the hurricane in Aiken. They have a few rooms reserved for companion animals thank God. I was able to stay there with my small dog. They serve breakfast. It was very good. I’d definitely stay there if need be.

Wasn't impressed with my stay. My room was dirty, I actually cleaned my room when I checked in as I can't prepared with cleaning supplies. The filters on the AC / heat unit were filthy and I ended up taking them out and scrubbing them because I was having an allergic reaction to mold or mildew. I wiped the entire room down to make sure it was clean. I also scrubbed the bathroom because didn't look clean. The room itself wasn't too impressive for the amount charged.

Positive: People were great. Breakfast was good. Location good. Outside looked nice. Negative: The inside was in DIRE need of attention. View of lake obscured because windows so dirty. Bathroom has slime ring at sink drain. Tub caulk was dotted with mildew. Faucets had either soap scum or hard water deposits. Disappointing.

Its really pretty from the outside. We had a nice view of the lake.
Room and bathroom (sink and tub) could have been cleaner. Hallway smelled like wet, mildewy carpet. I didnt know breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise. Eggs, bacon, biscuits, pastries, juices. People working were super nice.

Musty/mildew smell as soon as you walk in the lobby. Room smelled like it had been smoked in for 20 years and they tried to cover it by changing the carpets and painting the walls. Very dirty, dust on fixtures and pictures, cobwebs around back of sofa. Bathroom needs new fixtures and new caulking.
I will say bed was comfortable and the pillows were great.
Disappointed that I spent $247 to stay here for one night. Without major renovations, you might as well stay at a Super 8.
