The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens - Pine Mountain, Georgia

Ahhhh. The Gardens were very good and getting better. The lodge seems to always have problems. Room not ready at 4pm, had to wait till after 5pm. The restaurant was at 30% capacity and the kitchen could not keep up. This was a Thursday night. If management was better this could be a really great place.

I don't know where to start. The horrible customer service, oh, and also you can't forget the 60 dollar buffet.

First off, on the first night off our stay, we
decided that we wanted to go eat dinner at
the dining room.

We waited in a long line, and when we finally got to the counter, the woman was so rude. We asked for a table for 14 people, and she stood there in silence for about 10 seconds, contemplating her life decisions. After that, she walked away without even saying anything, we waited there for about another 10 minutes with a big line behind us. She finally came back and said, "Our table is ready." What kind of customer service is that, this place needs some help, I think I can run this place better than any of them.

Second of all, this place is short staffed. It has the potential to be great, but we encountered a lot of staff that need training and / or additional leadership.

We also came back to our room today, and the towels had been replenished, but the bed was not made!

This place has a lot of potential, but they fall short in a lot of big areas.

This is a nice lodge and spa. The rooms are modern and comfortable. My room on this trip was on the woodsy side. However, other views show the lake, green space, and walking paths. There is a golf course nearby and I'm not sure but I think you can rent bicycles. The staff was attentive and friendly and the food in the restaurant was great. There is also a small cafe near the lobby.

We didn’t stay here we stayed at the villas but walked around here and it was beautiful. We checked in through the lodge but they messed up all the billing and had to go back twice to get it fixed. Other than that beautiful resort and very thing was set up for fall and Halloween.

There was a hurricane that affected Georgia so Callaway canceled their Pumpkin event for a few days. I had a room reservation specifically for that event. When I tried to cancel, Booking told me to request a cancellation through the hotel. Angela, the manager, claims to have never received it even though I spoke to Booking and they saw it was sent. They even resent it. Multiple people at reservations at Callaway even tried to contact her. I messaged on the app and she stopped responding. How is any of this my fault? I even said I would reschedule but they can’t oblige to that either. Every date I tried in every month til April they claim wasn’t available. Come on. Despicable!!

Our Lodge room was extremely nice with a beautiful lake and pool view. The bed was fantastic and the bathroom having a separate shower and tub was elegant. Very glad our business conference was held here. Was especially nice since it was so close to Atlanta. Was able to get there and back quickly before and after the conference.

Located on site for the all the things callawy have to offer. We'll kept beautiful landscapes friendly fast service. Even better when festival and extras because it's next door I'm same place.

I do not recommend booking if you're looking for something similar to other nice spas in Georgia. I had a very poor experience with canceling an advanced reservation where my final receipt said I would allowed a refund due to the card I used.
The staff member who helped me was very direct, very rude and not personable at all.
On one of the points I did make a mistake. Instead of being kind and understanding and helping me to know she'd do what she could to advocate for me, she was direct, combative and pushy.
I felt very dishonored s a customer and will not every be staying at this lodge.
One can stay at Chateau Elan in Braselton and get excellent service, equally as nice a room and have a similar price. I've worked through a similar (but not same) issue with their staff and had a much more pleasant experience.
The measure of a business for me is how the handle the tough situations. This one was not a good one for me.
