This place is awesome! My husband took us here for a weekend. We stayed in the Buffalo Wallow. I felt at ease because everything was clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Don't forgot to check out the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge! You won't be disappointed! Enjoy!

Fantastic place to stay if in the area. We have stayed at The Lazy Buffalo a few times and each room we have had has been great. They are all are decorated differently so each time is a new experience. Julie and Tanya are great to work with and are friendly and helpful.

This is such a wonderful hidden gem at the entrance to the Wichitas. We stayed in Cabin 7 - Saving the Longhorn - and were delighted by all the special little touches in the room. The sofa and bed were super comfortable, the room was spotless, the decor spot-on, and the hospitality very much appreciated. We’re customers for life!

Everything was great except the location. But im sure that can't be helped and was probably more remote initially. Its right on the busy highway with a casino across the street. But it's still fun. The rooms are very nice, the grounds are clean. And they have plenty of outdoor activities for you. We will be back.

Fun and unique! Loved the star gazing trailer, the themed room (Seek and Snore) was a hit with my younger children! They love looking at all the well thought out details of animals and nature hidden all over the room. The complementary snacks and water were perfect after being out in the heat, too. I especially loved the vintage suitcase turned into a cabinet in the kitchenette! There were plenty of outlets for charging devices. The shower was nice, the water was well filtered!
Kids liked the games to play outside, we were too tired to use the firepits, but they looked cozy! The fan in the room was much appreciated, it was a 100° day and the a/c had trouble keeping up! Appreciated wi-fi and Netflix though we did lose internet for a bit earlier in the morning.

Our only complaints, if they can even be called complaints, the light coming in from the well lit walkway through the blind. We put a blanket over the window to block out some light. A small nightlight in the bathroom would've been nice for the children so they didn't have to turn on a bright light in the middle of the night to go. Hubby kept stubbing his toes on the middle-side of the bed frame and suggested a piece of foam there might be nice. 6' and taller persons kept bonking heads on the awesome, over table branch decor (sorry birdies!)
If you are sensitive to perfumes, I would request sheets and towels be washed w/o detergent. I had trouble resting because the clean bedclothes were strongly scented (I have a sensitive nose, my husband who does not was unbothered.)

All-in-all, the details of the entire property are fun and lovingly placed. We could tell a lot of time and effort was put into The Lazy Buffalo! The vintage displays outside of rooms, plenty of rocking chairs and places to be peaceful and "veg-out," outdoor activities and room details were superior to any place we've stayed before! There were LOTS of stick bugs all over it was so cool for the kids!

Excellent! We needed a quiet getaway & we found it. It was our 6th anniversary. We could tell love was put into our room - meaning it’s obvious April, the maintenance lady, loved people. She was super sweet & willing to help us out with directions & suggestions. She made our stay so peaceful & pleasant. We definitely recommend this spot.

Cool fun little spot. All rooms are different. We got Tour de Bison. It Was very quiet and it looks like they got a few different games out for everyone.. like horseshoes and corn hole.

Stay here twice the first time was great but the second time the bicycle room was not as clean the shower had dirt built up in the corners. The other guests were loud most of the night with there motorcycles under the porch need more sound proofing
