Passed by this place and saw they advertised pork tacos with a papaya hot sauce and had to give it a try. I was nothing but happy. I scarfed down these tacos. Perfectly balanced flavors I could have eaten 10 more.

Atmosphere was great. Good music and cozy lighting. Would be a great hang spot. I will be coming back and I’ll be bringing my partner.

Service was top notch and inviting. Very cool to be able to talk to chef and see how much care they put into my food.

A+ experience!

Popped in on a windy rainy day because I was craving some soup. The curried squash soup did not disappoint and the portable grilled cheese was just as good. Panini grilled on a bagel and a house salad as well. Pretty good deal for $15 dollar lunch. Open midday on a Monday when all the other spots are closed. Very happy I made it in.

So, I have this quirk. If I walk into a restaurant I want to feel welcome, as in, at least one staff member says “hi” and gives me a menu. Or, at least indicates where a menu might be.

And then — very quirky, I know! — I expect someone to approach me and take my order.

I’m cool with waiting for my food. But if I’m hungry and I get zero zilch nada…then I walk next door and get fed there. 🧐😝

Loved how tasty our Oyster Po boy sandwich was. The owner Joe and the chef Jason are super friendly and personable. We were impressed they took time to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

My first time in here. BBQ pork sandwich on house baked soft pretzel was soooo good, simple yet perfectly executed. Lunch combo came with great lentil soup and a perfectly dressed house salad, for a good price. Also chill atmosphere and cool folks working inside. Definitely recommend.

Charming hidden treasure tucked away on our very own G street, full of friendly faces that are passionate about providing exceptional dining in a cozy environment. Every plate that I've enjoyed has been crafted with care and attention to detail, and it's evident that the culinary experience of the staff comes together in the food. Live music and intimate atmosphere are what make the Kitchen Arcata an easy recommendation for anybody looking for a quaint dinner date, or a communion between friends and family. So very pleased with their affordable, simple menu where every dish is well executed and sure to satisfy! I'll be back for that famous taco night soon 🙂
