I stay at The Kelly every time I visit Birmingham and I highly recommend it. The rooms are very well appointed. The building is beautiful and within walking distance from some of the best restaurants in the South. The valet guys are great. They’re super helpful and are quick to return with your vehicle. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

I especially want to commend Natalie at the front desk. I had a minor issue after leaving the hotel and she was so helpful and diligent in getting it resolved for me.

My stay was amazing there! Val was definitely the best. Hands down the best customer service I have ever received! I LOVE VAL! We will be back just for her. The bartender was great as well. Ronnie. They both deserve raises! We will be back. The most fun I’ve had at a hotel… with the staff. They are great. Stay here!

Front desk and valet were very helpful. Loved the staff in general. The hotel was clean and inviting. I will return. Loved my stay. I loved the decor and the large restroom. We had an excellent view. It was walking distance to a few things like coffee shops and such.

My husband and I stayed at The Kelly for a quick overnight stay, but we were impressed with every staff encounter at this property. The valet staff were attentive and quick. The front desk staff were accommodating and knowledgeable.

We were a little concerned that no one was hanging out at the bar, but once we sat down, we realized the huge columns blocked the view to the lobby and most guests would not see how nice it is in thar area. The bartender, Ronnie was very nice and talkative as we all want our bartenders to be. He told us about the area and a lot about tequila, bourbon and wine. We really enjoyed talking to him.

We ordered dinner at the bar and the food was delicious. Compliments to the shelf. We could tell the chef cared about food, the taste and the presentation. We were able to tell the Chef Rick thank you at breakfast the next morning when we had another delicious meal prepared by him.

I highly recommend The Kelly hotel for not only a great stay, but for a great drink and meal as well.

Starting off with location - it is amazing! Lots of bars, restaurants, art near us. Parking was not an issue. When we walked in, we were welcomed by the nicest lady at front desk (wish I could remember her name). The hotel room was gorgeous and clean - we had a nice view. That night, my husband surprised me with a nice dinner and a drink at a local bar. Mind you, this was our first date in a year due to having no baby sitter in FL so we had to drive to Birmingham for a family sitter. 10:40pm on our way back from our outing we realized our key wasn’t working. My husband went to the lobby 3 times then the employee realized there was an issue with our door. We were told to hold for a few in another hotel room.. we patiently waited while wearing our date night attire (not comfortable). 1:30am rolls by and we are still waiting. At this point, we were too tired and fell asleep without our belongings which includes husbands medicine, our toothbrush, etc. we woke up early and another employee was at front desk - very rude guy who wouldn’t even look up from his phone. Finally gave us keys to our room and we go in. I asked him if I could have a discount due to our date night being ruined.. he made a rude comment and proceeded to give us a discount.

From start to finish the customer service was top notch. They offered complementary champagne when I checked in. The rooms/bathrooms are sparkling clean and beds comfortable with varying pillow firmness. Be sure to visit the restaurant/bar on the first floor near the lobby.

We had a great experience at the Kelly in Birmingham. The bed was so comfy, we both slept like a dream. Really appreciated coming back every day & the bed being made, as well as water/coffee refilled. The staff were all very friendly & greeted us everyday. Would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone 🙂

This historic hotel has valet parking or street/public parking. Liked the financial district of downtown BHam. Retro room decor with a good size bathroom. Heard the train during the night but added to the vibe. I could do without the feather pillows, although I always travel with my own so not a huge deal for me. Would stay again!
