Came up to visit the college for a tour and discovered this hotel. It is literally attached to the college and made a perfect spot to stay. It's modern, exceptionally clean and nicely appointed. Highly recommend the shampoo- my hair hasn't looked that thick in years! Front desk staff was really nice. Restaurant in the lobby was busy, didn't have time to eat there unfortunately (tight turnaround on this visit). Love the walkability and hometown feeling. I would also recommend an amazing yarn store across the street called For Ewe and Lorenzo's pizza around the corner. Wish I had time for the movie theater next door - old timey and super cool looking.

Wonderful location for visiting our son in college! We arrived on a red eye with little sleep and despite an afternoon check-in time the front desk got us into a room before noon. Until then we were able to enjoy coffee in the very comfortable and light filled lobby. We enjoyed multiple yummy meals at 1833 during our stay. Sunday Brunch was our favorite. Our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet! Looking forward to a few more visits before our son graduates!

Very comfortable, great service, so accessible! Our family stayed here on our final night of a week-long college visit tour ending at Oberlin and were so pleased to have such a comfortable landing point. My wife and I enjoyed a drink at the bar - very friendly bartender - and loved that we didn't have to wander out in the cold to find a place, and that our Admissions visit was right next door. Very responsive staff. Also a super-environmentally efficient LEED-certified hotel. Thanks!

This is a wonderful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The 1866 restaurant in the lobby is delicious and has a great bar. Parking is free. There are many other restaurants and shops steps away. I always sleep so well when I stay here. It's the most convenient if you're visiting your Oberlin student. I highly recommend.

This hotel impresses with details- clean, windows open- such a rarity, heat system/ AC is pleasant and quiet, good books on the night table, nice little gym, good coffee in the lobby.. it borrows from and lends to the sophisticated vibe of the school nearby. Perfect location if you are visiting your college student.

A distinct European feel to this rather unique hotel. There's a lot of natural light from walls of glass and open spaces. They are proudly 'geo-thermal' which probably translates to a guilt-free comfortable temperature. Good mattress, sensible pillows and OK water pressure. It was clean, friendly and comfortable and so we booked it for the journey back 7 days later. Will book again without hesitation - oh, did we mention the restaurant? Worth staying just for the cuisine!

Great location for visiting Oberlin College. Modern design and comfy beds. Water pressure is pretty paltry and the soundproofing for the rooms is inadequate. Breakfast menu is expensive, limited and very slow. Suggest checking out nearby cafes for better option.

Located right in the heart of Oberlin is the hidden gem that is the Hotel and Oberlin. The room was modern and clean. The bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable that I have ever experienced. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The 1833 Restaurant located on site was amazing. The food was fresh and tasted great. The only exceptions were the crispy brussel sprouts were not that crispy, they were actually pretty oily, and the beet salad. The sale was delicious, but very difficult to eat. But other than that everything was delicious
