Was in town for son's graduation at OSU and stayed here - short drive to college and great off street parking which is needed in this area. Breakfast both days was great with wonderful fresh fruit. Very friendly environment and met nice people from South Korea and Indiannapolis! The rooms were very nice and comfortable but bed was a little soft - but that's likely just me. Everything nicely done and enjoyable for my husband and I. Nice sitting room for my son to come over and visit in between events. Wifi worked perfectly with no problems. Definitely recommend!

I went to Henderson House with my mother on a bike trip. When we arrived we were told we booked on the wrong day, but thankfully we still got a room (totally my fault btw) Being extremely tired and cold from our trip, I fell asleep instantly. It was probably the best sleep I`ve had in a long time to be honest. Breakfast the next morning was INCREDIBLE! I still think about it from time to time it was amazing. The fruit parfait was so good, and the presentation was very nicely done. Eggs benedict was served next and I can`t emphasize how great it was.. If you`re going through this area, I couldn`t recommend Henderson B&B more.||||p.s. the price is very good for a B&B

Haven't been to a B&B for a number of years...Had an opportunity to join a group trip for a sporting event over 5/6 days - wasn't thinking that the best part of the trip would be the B&B. From the spacious rooms, comfortable living & walking spaces (inside & out), and privacy - all this was second to the delicious meals & desserts, creative menu, and consistent service and gracious hospitality of the hosts - this is by far the best way to slow things down after several long days of site seeing/sporting.

This 5-acre 19th century property is just full of history. It once belonged to former Ohio Governor and 19th U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes. Rutherford sold the land to the prominent local attorney Leon Henderson.

It was the first African-American owned bed and breakfast in Ohio and it's first guests were the cast of the hit opera "The Phantom of the Opera" when it opened its doors in 1994. It is nestled on a wooded lot near downtown. The house was sold in 1942 to prominent local attorney Leon Henderson. The Henderson family went on to establish their home as an important social hub in the era of segregation, offering a safe and welcoming space for traveling entertainers.

A zoning request has been submitted to the city of Columbus for the project, which will be heard by the Near East Area Commission at its meeting on February 16.
