Bluebs and Willow are absolutely amazing. Clean and very convenient to downtown. Short walk to the outfitter and restaurants. Shuttling people around town and back and forth to the trailheads and they do your laundry. They both are thru hikes and know what is necessary to hikers. Can’t wait to come back. “Goat”

My wife and I stayed and The Grove last month during a week long section hike. We could not have been happier. Newfound and Unfiltered were great hosts. The hostel was very comfortable and clean and close to downtown. We did a great slackpack one day and early morning shuttles to Wayah Bald. We would highly recommend The Grove to any hiker!!!!!

I stayed at the Grove hostel recently, parking my truck there for 2 weeks, using their shuttle service back and forth to the trailheads and staying for a night. Unfiltered and Newfound are fantastic hosts, helpful with trail knowledge, and run a very nice hostel. I would recommend it if you are hiking the AT anywhere near Franklin NC.

Newfound is prompt with replies and will shuttle you from/to the AT. Very pleasant stay. Beds were comfy. Nice perk having a TV in the Hostel.

I would highly recommend staying at The Grove Hostel. Unfiltered picked us up and immediately made us feel like family. The hostel is walking distance from downtown Franklin. I would recommend the grove to anyone wanting a peaceful nights rest before getting back on the trail.

The Grove is a wonderful respite from the trail in the adorable town of Franklin NC. Unfiltered and Newfound are such gracious hosts who clearly prioritize hiker needs and experience during their stay. The Grove is clean, organized, and has such a warm, homey vibe. You are able to walk into town to the outfitter or other restaurants, and Unfiltered and Newfound will run a shuttle every day to help with your resupply. They are thru hikers so they just “get it” and run a hostel that makes it easy to rest and relax while completing your town chores easily as well. Thanks for a great stay!!

The Grove Hostel in Franklin, NC, is the perfect hiker's haven. Owned by thru-hikers, they truly understand the needs of both thru-hikers and section hikers. The hostel is clean, well-appointed, and just a short 5-10 minute walk from downtown Franklin, where you'll find numerous restaurants and one of the best resupply options on the AT. The hostel offers reasonably priced slack-packing options and a daily resupply run to Walmart. If you're looking for a comfortable break from the trail, this is a must stay!

Nice owners with tons of thru hiking experience. They know what people need in terms of transport, services, logistics, etc and make it very simple. Facility is well equipped and very centrally located - 10 min walk to Main St. Absolutely recommended.
