Stayed 2 nights at George Walker House and enjoyed the ambience, accommodation, birding and the hospitality of the hosts Winston and Jackie. The accommodation exceeded all my expectations. The kitchen pantry was stocked tastefully including everything one could need. The bedrooms and the bathroom were spotless. Ideal place for the avid birder/photographer specializing on hummingbirds. Fully satisfied and highly recommended.

The George Walker House is a wonderful place with great hosts and amazing birds. The road is a bit rough, but it is worth the effort. We were there for the afternoon to watch birds in the yard, and Jackie, the lady of the house, spent lots of time with us helping identify birds and pointing out things that we might have overlooked. We'll be back, maybe to stay next time.

I, along with 7 others, thoroughly enjoyed 4 nights at the George Walker and Heller Houses. There are many extras in the houses: firm mattresses, fluffy towels, most food staples, fun games, books of local interest, etc. Very comfortable. ||There is a lot to do in the Chirihuacas. We focused on birdwatching and hiking in Cave Creek Canyon and Chirihuaca National Monuments. It was nice to retreat to the quiet of Paradise after a day of exploring.||Jackie and Winston are very welcoming and informative hosts. Their house porch is very comfortable for birding and wildlife viewing.

Jackie is a wonderful hostess!! We stayed in the Heller House and loved it. It is spacious, clean and the best-stocked of all of our rentals. She thinks of everything you might need and makes sure you have it! She arrived around 6 every morning with full hummingbird feeders for our deck. We loved our deck which had constant hummingbird activity, and we were able to photograph 6 species while we were there. The Heller house is in a beautiful location, sitting at the top of a mountain, and we watched the sunsets from our deck every night. It is very peaceful, quiet and relaxing there.||||Jackie has a great back yard next door with a wonderful water feature and many feeders, and she welcomes her guests to visit and if there, she sits with you to point out specialties of the area. If you love birds and nature, this is the place for you!

We spent 3 nights in the Heller House. Jackie is a great hostess and makes sure the house is fully equipped and stocked with everything needed (including bird food). The house is very comfortable and even though the days were warm the cool canyon breezes made sleeping with the windows open a real pleasure. Jackie’s property is a haven for a wide variety of birds so one doesn’t have to go far to see them. One other bonus is the dark sky at night. The stars come out in all their glory - not something you see in the city. The peace and tranquillity was wonderful. Highly recommended but if you plan to explore further into the National Forest I would recommend an all wheel drive SUV.

Such a relaxing spot. Had a lovely visit. Def recommend being tucked in by dark. It would be hard to get to in the dark. House had everything you would need if locked up in a storm. Kinda wish that had happened. Hosts are close by and very helpful and the greatest dog brothers

We stayed two nights instead of our original one night plan. Jackie and Winston have thought of everything. We had a refrigerator stocked with the basics and a pantry with cereal, pancake mix, coffee, canned goods, pasta etc. Everything was spotless and immaculate. The beds are comfortable and you won’t have to ask for the ‘extra blanket’ to stay warm. On cold nights there are heaters in the bedrooms, bathroom and a pellet oven in the living room that works like a charm. The patio is huge and birdseed is provided for your up-close viewing enjoyment. The only bad part was that I lost at monopoly. ||Bojangles was a bonus. He takes his greeting job seriously. We can’t wait to return.
