Everything was wonderful. The Inn is a 20 minute walk from downtown/river area and only a few blocks from Forsythe Park, but free buses/shuttles are readily available. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have a complimentary glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres each evening and dessert upon our return at night. The breakfasts were delicious - especially the honey biscuits! We had to leave before breakfast on the day we checked out, but the staff and chef were extremely accommodating and made us a delicious breakfast to go.

The Gastonian was truly one of the best hotel stays we've ever had! Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We stayed in the Juliette Lowe room and never wanted to leave the gorgeous balcony. The location also can't be beat - so close to the park and downtown area, but on a cute and safe street. Breakfast in the morning was lovely, as was afternoon wine. This is definitely our new "go to" spot to stay during our annual Savannah visit.

It was quiet and romantic. We loved the fireplace in our room! The entire staff was so welcoming and helpful. Bed was comfortable and we had the best night's sleep. Plus imagine waking up to the smell of yummy biscuits baking! ๐ The homes in the neighborhood are beautiful. And we were only 2 blocks from Forsyth Park. Beautiful park to walk and enjoy your surroundings. We walked to River Street and loved the boutique shops along the way as well as some great bars. Savannah is definitely walkable!

The staff at the Gastonian was top notch. Always offering a smile and welcoming attitude. Breakfast was wonderful each morning. Evening hors de vours and wine was lovely. We stayed in the Garden Room and it was perfect for our 30th anniversary. We felt like we were secluded in our own secret garden. The fireplace and clawfoot tub aong with room furnishings made the room feel warm and cozy. The location was perfect. Only a couple minute walk to Forsyth Park and a relatively easy walk around the city. The staff at the inn was helpful in planning transportation, tours and reservations from the moment i made my reservation. They definitely made our trip easier, not having to worry about planning was a sure way to enjoy the entire trip. If you go for the St Patrick's Day parade as we did, definitely pack some snacks and drinks and don't forget to take the offer chairs the Gastonian will provide on request. The parade was wonderful and lasts 4 hours, snacks and chairs would have been a good idea. Long story short, I'd certainly go back, and reserve the Gardn room again. Having access to the room from the street made coming and going easy. Great thanks to the staff at the Gastonian for a wonderful trip.

Our overall stay at the Gastonian was nice. The room and bathroom were spacious. Although, stepping up into a clawfoot tub to take a shower could be hazardous for people. The breakfast was good and employees were pleasant. My only complaint would be that they need a better concierge service. The staff on duty were unable to secure any dinner reservations for us and were not very knowledgeable about the shopping and activities in the area. I would suggest securing all your reservations before going to visit Savannah. The location of the home is good and walkable to most areas around the city.

My husband and I had an awesome weeklong stay at the Gastonian Hotel. It has all the Southern charm we were looking for on our first visit to Savannah. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the meals which included a full breakfast, wine and appetizers in the earmy evening and desserts before tuning in for the night were all delicious . The location of the Gastonian in the historic district near Forsyth Park made navigating the city on foot extremely easy. But mist important, the staff was friendly and helpful. When we checked out we felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. We will definitely return to the. Gastonian on our next visit to Savannah.

This was an amazing hotel. Every staff member was incredibly helpful, pleasant, and just provided amazing service. The daily breakfast was hearty and delicious. The best biscuits Iโve ever had. One person in our group had some specific dietary restrictions and they were very proactive in accommodating.
We also enjoyed the wine hour and evening dessert. A few times we returned after it was over, but they still served us. Even brought up the trays to our rooms one night.
The hotel is charming, very clean, and the rooms are spacious. The parlor room was perfect for just relaxing. And thereโs all the little details that are so appreciated - postcards that they will mail for free for you, complimentary water and beverages downstairs by the desk, etc
The entire experience exceeded our expectations and made our girlโs trip so memorable. I cannot think of a single negative thing about this place. I can also see how this place would be perfect for couples.

We decided to go to Savannah to celebrate our 29th anniversary. On the arrival day, they called us to explain parking instruction. Surprisingly, they prepared for celebratory champaign for us. wonderful location and great staffs. Breakfast was the best of the best. I would stay again for next trip.
